Strange Xbox Live Notifications?

Has anyone been getting strange notifications on Live lately? Just tonight I've had 3 new friend requests and an invite to join a party, all from people I don't know. I don't list my gamer tag anywhere anymore, so I'm not sure what would cause this...

random people always send me game invites, friend requests, party invites, private messages, etc. when i play mw3 or fifa

some people just look at their recent players list and try to get a game or add people

Well, the only thing there is that I don't play any games online, plus I have my account pretty much on lockdown after hearing about the FIFA fiasco.

I don't play online except with 1 or 2 friends, and I've gotten a couple of WTF messages from random users, mostly offers to sell Microsoft points or a link to an Awesome New Gaming Website (TM). I just ignored them.

You could always restrict messaging and chat to friends only.

I get random friend requests and then I go look to see who added me and there would be nothing.

I got one from "givinjunk", who was trying to send me a message about selling something (MS point?) if I recall. Never played with the guy, have no idea who he was...it was odd.
