Streaming music to 360 from PC question

Which folder on my PC does the 360 look for music? Is it C:\Documents and Settings\XXuserXX\My Documents\My Music?

The 360 will look in whichever folders you have shared on the PC. In Windows Media Player you can go into the Library options... if the 360 has been properly detected you'll see an icon for it and you can allow file sharing. Then select which directories you want to share and the 360 should be able to see them.

you have to set the folder for your music through the program on your PC, it'll show up on your 360

yea, i use tversity all the time, but mostly to watch avi files.

Yup. It just shows whatever folders are shared.

I had to buy a new router to get the sharing to work, though. My decrepit 802.11b router just wouldn't cut it. I'm pretty surprised how short the listing of routers that are officially Xbox compatible is. I ended up getting the Gamerlounge one from Dlink. It's pretty awesome. My ping actually went down using that, so now I'm better at Gears of War. Stupid peer-to-peer hosting system.

tversity converts movie files on the fly so it's playable on your 360.

you dont need anything special for music and pictures....for movies i suggest Transcode360...much easier than tversity imho
