Street Fighter 2 Aniversary Collection (PS2)

How does 3rd strike stack up agianst the rest? I've played at least one in every other variation, and am rather curious.

Against the previous SFIII iterations or against the rest of the SF series?

In either case it's brilliant, though it's sort of the Virtua Fighter of the series, in that it requires the most technical proficiency to be really good at it. The fighters are somewhat wackier than previous SF games (more like Guilty Gear, IMO) but they seem to have a lot more, for lack of a better word, "soul," than previous games.
 
I haven't played any of the SF3s, for some reason. If I had a PS2 I'd be all over this, but I guess I'll eventually go after a DC iteration.

Well, wait until the PS2 version kills the market for the used DC version, since it's pretty expensive right now.
 
SFIII is the best Street Fighter technically although I agree the characters are a little wacky.

Personally st0neface I would go with Double Impact for the time being as that game has much better sound, music and stages and most of the third strike characters you can live without.

I would however purchase third strike as it is worth it to have them all
 
I can't wait till it retails at $60 and stays ridiculously high priced forever.

You still can't find snk vs SF 2 for the PS2 for less than $30 used. :roll:

Well if that's out it's only out in Japan now, so 30 dollars would be a pretty good price for an import game.
