Street Fighter Anniversery Collection for Xbox with Live

I care! Street Fighter is and aways will be so freaking awesome! Sure you can say your Soul Caliburs and Dead or Alives look better...but NOTHING controls as well as classic SF :) Wish I could get live right now. Either way, that game will be mine! :)

Maybe years ago when I was a hotshot SF player I'd be excited. Now I'd just get my ass beat over and over I'm sure.

yea I know you feel the love. I can't wait for this one. I hope they make a special arcade stick for it like they did with SVC Chaos (Buyrite has a couple and the artwork on them is awesome) as I need to get one with a headset adaptor soon and baseball style joysticks tear up my hands.

I am gonna have to start playing Street Fighter III like crazy to get my skills up to where I have a chance to beat some of the people on there. Though as much as I will play third strike, I will still play SFII more (I play the GBA version all the time and love SFII to death)

I'm worried about SFIII on Live myself. Even a little lag is going to throw off parrying, isn't it?

If they don't do something about pullers (which ruined my CvS2 Live experience completely), I WON'T be getting live again. Also, Agetec/Ascii had better get on the ball and make a new (but identical to the dreamcast) arcade stick.

yea but I bet they fix that issue. Mainly though I think its going to be me and my friend from across the street playing aganist each other so lag on Live is not going to drive me too crazy

wow that's fantastic, I hope it cost like 30 bucks. Also they better do something about all the dropers. They need to track Quit ratio or just don't have rankings at all.

Get Guilty Gear XX Coming soon to live for $19.99, they have fixed the puller problem on there.

Anyway, I'm VERY excited for this to come out, I think my CvS2 would be collecting some dust sometime soon.

SF for life!

yes, Xbox is sure looking good with their fall lineup. 2D is resurrected with online play--how come them stupid ass SCEA don't approve this is beyond belief. Makes me wanna chuck my ps2 out the window

I think it should just not let you quit games during a match and if you power off it counts as 1 drop. After 5 drops your ranks goes down a bunch. Thats how they do it on card games on the msn gaming zone.

Why don't they make a new street fighter or rescan the old drawings at high res. Did they throw em all out or something.

As I understand it (from discussions about it on the Madman's Cafe forum, where people know their shit when it comes to SF lore) they weren't scanned from drawings in the first place, they were only ever sprites. As such they can't bump the resolution up without starting over entirely with new sprites.

well...they should start over then. GGXX makes this stuff look like dookie. really, i love street fighter, but the graphics need to be "Remastered", but not in that "walkie-talkies instead of guns" kind of way

Barring the upcoming Sammy vs. Capcom I doubt we're ever going to see another 2D fighting game out of Capcom.

Street Fighter III was good for its time. It still has better animation than the stilted Guilty Gear series. The only thing the GG series has going for it graphically is the high-res sprites.

On a side note, I feel for the Gamecube owners that are missing out on this package. Capcom isn't to blame, as they're big GCN supporters. Blame Nintendo for some pretty obvious designs flaws on the GCN controller.

If you ever played a 2D fighter with the Xbox controller you know its just about useless.

on any system a joystick is still required to get the best play.

on a side note I got my ass handed to me today at SFIII. I have to get down parrying pretty soon (if the game had no parrying I would have beaten him every time)
all i can say to this is...meh. show me an online MOW, im there.
personally I would rather have an online Samurai Showdown game, but MOW would be awesome.

as much as I like SNK gamesm, I would still take an online SFII over any other game ever made

I'll definitely get this....as long as it's not a full price game. If it is I'll probably wait until it gets to 20-30 bucks.

Regarding controllers....I bought an XBox arcade stick to use with Capcom vs. SNK 2 and sucked ass with it compared to how I did with a regular controller. I guess it's just all the years of being conditioned to use a pad instead of a stick.

I checked the current price in our computers at GS. For now, it's $30. I'll keep an eye on it and update this if it changes. Don't shoot the messenger if it changes though. Believe me, I want it this low as much as everyone else!

Where the hell did you hear this?! Do you have a link that confirms it? I must know! Our computers don't have a price on this yet!

Thanks for the link. It's true, I simply 'had to know'. fucking GameStop, I checked the release date again at work today and still nothing. Thanks again for that link, it made me a happy panda. Too bad SF:AC isn't out until September.
