I saw Street Fighter II Collection the other day, but Gamestop wanted 24.99 for it. Didn't think that was a decent price, espically since I already have the Anniversary Collection and Alpha 2 on Saturn, so I passed.

For those that don't know, it includes -

Super Street Fighter II
SSF2T
SFA 2 Gold (that one that had Cammy in vs mode)

Is it really worth getting now that Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection is out? It would be nice having Alpha 2 for playstation so I didn't have to drag out the saturn, but I'm not sure if it's 24.99 nice.

Does anyone know how the port held up? Was it missing frames / animation or anything like that?

It's definitely one of the harder to find PS1 games out there...If it has both discs and is complete, I'd say go for it. Plus, the ports are flawless.

Yeah...but that's not the most legal thing in the world.

Plus...you can't really put that in your collection.

For collecting purposes it is ok if complete. If not complete I would pass. For strictly playing purposes I personally wouldn't get it. Then again I have SFA2 for Saturn, SFA 3 for PS One, SFA 3 and SSFIITR for GBA and SF:AC for Xbox.

It's complete... usually I would have just picked it up, but with all the sales coming up I'm a bit strapped for cash.

I've got all the games you listed plus a ton more versions of good ol SF, so I think i'll pass. Going rate on Ebay seems to be around 25 anyways if I ever change my mind.

I just checked your collection. VERY nice indeed!

Thanks!

It's been hell putting it together, espically complete, as I have to pay considerably more for older nes / snes games. Luckily when I was a kid and my parents got me a game every few months or so, I'd go for the one that offered the most playtime - which was usually an RPG =D

I'll take pictures one day!

I've got that game. It is arcade perfect on those versions as far as I can tell. Plays pretty well with my Street Fighter Anniversary arcade stick too. If you are nostalgic for arcade replication I say get it. If you just want to play then the Anniversary Collection is fine.

That's what I need to do as well.

Saturn version is better. But if you don't want to play it on Saturn, as you said, then pick it up on PS.

Why not just buy SFA2 for Playstation instead of Street Fighter Collection, then on top of that get Street Fighter Anniversary collection and the upcoming Capcom Classics collection which features SF2 and SF2CE

I got a used copy about a month ago that might as well have been new.

Is the game worth it? For collection purposes absolutely. Why? It has Super Street Fighter II version that, if not mistaken, only appeared on the 3DO stateside. SF II Championship Edition? I'm sure some SF II buff will know, I lost track of the editions.

Anyways I had a 3DO and that SFII and SNK's Samurai Showdown were the asolute best 2-D fighitng games for a home system that you didn't have to import or pay $200 (Neo Geo carts.) for.

I'm still torn about it... maybe I'll go check out the condition of the cd's since this GS frequently gets in scratched up stuff.

I'm getting to the point now where my collection is big enough that I'd rather get games to play, rather than buy a game and just have it sit on the shelf (which is what this would probably do, except for the rare times I play SFA 2 over 3).

Maybe if I have a few extra bucks after the CC sale, and it's still there. Just seems pricey for something where better versions keep coming out, if it was a 19.99 pricetag I would have jumped on it.
