Man, GT4 is awful. I played it at GameCrazy and couldn't stand it. Great selection of cars, but when you're going 80mph and crash into a wall and there's no damage and not even a crash sound.. yeah. "Real driving simulator" nothing.

I concur. No better than GT3 except for the amount of cars. Hopefully Forza is just as good gameplay wise, at least it has online.
 
Hmm.. maybe I should return it and get a whopping $52.00 store credit... actually my receipt says nothing about store credit so I might be able to get cash. The only reason I got this game was because I wanted to check out 1080i mode on the PS2. But my monster cables haven't arrived yet.... and I'm not even gonna bother playing on SDTV.
 
I don't think they do money refunds. Trust me, it's not worth it. If you have GT3, stick to it. GT4 is pretty, but without model damage (which was well known) and literally no sound when you crash (it's almost as if the barricade is a nice fluffy pillow), it's definately not worth $49.99.
 
meh...hardcore racing fans will love it...not many racing fans really care about the model damage and sound thing...the really good players won't even need to worry if they don't hit the barricades, ha...

i'm not that good at realistic racers, but i still like the GT games even though they aren't realistic in the crashing department...
 
No I have two receipts... One when I paid and one when I came and picked it up. I didn't have my pre-order slip so the guy said it's fine as long as I show ID. So I have 3 forms total.

yall lucky as hell, get gt4 free like that easily. My tru has nothing for sell, so I'm stuck paying $50 for gt4.

GT3 is by so far my favorite racing game and gt4 will do better.

I've always hated the GT series for that. Give me Burnout anyday!

Hardcore racing fans would give a crap about car damage and it should effect the performance of the car just like real life if you are going to build a DRIVING SIMULATOR and not an arcade racer.

IMO that's really lame to not have car damage + performance hits for driving like a moron for GT4. I think I will wait for this to go GH or something before I even look at it because it doesn't sound like a good buy considering there's no online either.
