The basic premise of the game remains the same; pull off death-defying stunts with precision driving to create action-packed film sequences. Pull off the stunts to perfection and you'll find your career soaring to new heights. Plus, since this is THQ's take on a franchise previously owned elsewhere, there's obviously a bit more to it this go around.

Stuntman Ignition puts over 25 vehicles at your disposal, including sport cars, motorcycles and even a hovercraft. Each of these will be used to progress through the career mode where you'll work towards unlocking new movie and commercial job opportunities. All told, there are 36 stunt runs spread across 6 themed films and commercials to test your merit in.

The online mode, playable with up to eight players, is where things start to get new and interesting. Here, you'll be able to challenge other stuntmen and steal stunts from them in multiplayer arenas. With the included stunt construction toolkit, you'll be able to plan out your own stunt runs and then take them online to see if anybody can meet your challenge.

The trailer is here.
I loved the first one, besides the difficulty, so I'm looking forward to this. I hope there's more to the online mode than just an 8 player stunt arena. It'd be great if you could save the movie trailers to your hard drive to view later to show off later without having to boot up the game to see them.

I'm glad to see it's coming out for PS2. If most comapines keep releasing games for the next gen systems and PS2 I won't feel like I need to get a next gen system for a while. I just hope it's less fusturating than the last game.

Sweet video! Thanks, Frisky. It took me so long to beat the original Stuntman. I don't feel like I ever need to play it again. Looking foward to this, though.

The original was one of my fav games on the PS2, and one of the first games I ever pre-ordered. Can't wait for this one its looking good so far.
