Suggestion for LCD monitor repair

Scriber

CAGiversary!
I bought a dell xps about 5 or 6 years ago and a few weeks ago the monitor went off and never came back on. I borrowed a spare monitor from work and haven't been worried about it, but I just bought a xbox 360 and was thinking of using it for lan parties. Heh, anyway I was wondering if there are any places someone can recommend for repair service. I don't want to pay too much but of course you usually get what you pay for so i'll appreciate any help.

~Thanks in advance!

Call Dell and send it back to repair? Or you can bring it to your local company shop. Bestbuy also have geek squad.

Dell will charge you up the ass and BestBuy would probably be worse.

Repairing it would probably be a lot more work than it's worth and I agree that getting a new one would be better. They've come a long way since 5/6 years ago and they're much cheaper.

It would be more than 100 bucks to repair? Well that stinks I was hoping for like 60 max. I was just going to use the monitor since I had it , not really interested in buying a brand new one though. Thanks for the input but I guess it will just stay an ornament in my closet.

You could sell it on ebay and make probably $20-30 or more.

Hpw in the world can someone give you an estimate like that when you don't know what's wrong with it? Buy a new one.
