I have 29 credit hours of classes to choose from, with 24 of those being electives outside my college (FA) The old advisor, before he left exempted me from a bunch of classes from my previous degree.

I wanted to just pick up some athletic classes, however my electives have to be at least 3000 lvl. and no sports classes qualify. + im already taken a conditioning class that won't count towards my graduation.

I know specific classes and exp will differ from school to school, but does anyone have any advice about type of classes that I may consider?

This would be for summer @ University of Florida

My preferences

*Preferably not too challanging, I dont want to spend my summer in the library all day.
*Little writing, Id rather debate or discuss
*Wouldn't mind female dominated classes :)

No no no screw that. Physcology, sociology, or philanthropology. Mostly female dominated. Pretty much opinitiave. Pretty easy and fun stuff.
english classes have lots of ladies, and they are fun, trying taking a medieval literature class
Wouldn' t that require some writing? :( and i thought guys were only into medieval warriors

The reason I want to stray from writing, besides my dislike for it, is that my last two semesters had a lot of writing in it, and my fall semester will to.

And I want to avoid any extra dealings with it ;)

whatever you do . Do not and i repeat DO NOT TAKE any MATH Classes unless you love and live math.. ALL math classes here in the summer is 1.5 chapters per day (around 50-60 pages) per day. they will be doing 18 chapters 14 test and 3 major exams in little over 6 weeks INSANE

easy summer class i took was child Physcology was a very easy A
Marketing and Business classes are actually helpful in life, try taking some of those.
I second that. Well, I'm sort of biased since my major is Marketing Management ;-) Taking an International Business class is usually an interesting experience. If your University offers it, it doesn't hurt to look into taking it. There's usually plenty of women majoring in IB and Marketing.

I'm graduating soon and have basically fullfilled all my degree requirements too. The two classes I took as "filler" to keep me full time this semester were Personal Financial Planning and Medieval Archaeology. The Finance class was informative but a lot of work (I had a teacher who demanded a lot) but I liked the Medieval Archaeology course a lot. It was heavily female dominated too (didn't help me much because I'm a girl)

This summer, I'm taking World Civ: Japan to keep me full time (I'm graduating in August after I study abroad). So if History is your thing, I'd recommend you take a couple courses.

take some art class if you can, but just because it's summer doesn't mean you can slack off. It's just a bit easier then normal school & gets you ahead of things in later semesters.

hmm... take a computer class, except there is no chicks. so economics is helpful and art might have a lot of chicks

My advice is to look for electives in fringe programs, sometimes they offer 300, 400 level credit classes that are kept easy to encourage people to take them as electives. For instance I've taken classes in Labor Studies, Indian Studies and African American studies. All of them were very enjoyable and required very little work.

i know at my university, there are some EASY 300-400 level computer classes......i know there is a web design class and then there was a power point class....check and see if there are any multimedia CIS or CS classes...and despite what those above said, in my classes it was always atleast half girls....usually more.

i just recommended classes that are pretty easy ( assuming you can make a PowerPoint) and definately don't require much reading.

philosophy, might be reading intensive but was more debate/disscussion then writing. I took a phil of religion summer class that was the most enjoyable class i've ever taken. a psych or archeology class would be a good bet, other then that take women's studies if you want chicks.

Hey, take film classes, which I'm sure are offered. I'm at Wichita State in Kansas and we always have at least a couple. They typically fall under English electives here, usually above the level you'd need as well. I'm an English major and a film nerd, so they've been the greatest electives I've taken my entire college career. They're also not the breeze-by classes students tend to think they are however, requiring a fair amount of technical analysis of filmic conventions, montage, mis-en-scene, etc., so people often freak out and drop, which is why enrollments are often low. But it's the best summer class suggestion I could think of besides lifeguard training, which is a 300 level course here.

Philosophy courses are generally very easy. Although there will probably be some writing. Just read a little, listen to the prof, and argue an opinion. Most profs will love you.

I signed up for "The Addictions of Drug and Alcohol" and "Family Youth and the Community" for Summer A.

Both more disccusion and participation classes then essays and research :).

Im one of those people like Punq who is virgin to the placement of illegal drugs in the body, and the Drug and Alcohol class is pretty fun and sad at the same time. I believe that a lot of people are there because some seem to have a real problem with the things.

After taking an anom. Survey I also saw that more than have the class has slept with someone that they didn't want to sleep with +without protection and blaimed substance cause.

The male female ratio is about 6-1, however no hotties imo :(. I even moved because I had sat in front of these two girls that were whispering back in forth about all the nasty things that they have done. And were bragging about it, however they have the appearance qualities of DLF except with a vagina.

I wasn't able to get into Family youth and the community until the end of the Add/Drop time. So I have only attended once class. The raitio is again about 6-1 and two hotties have been spotted so I will be moving in like a shark on Monday to introduce myself. The class although, less interesting then the D&A class is one that I am enjoying as we will be doing some group community service projects.

Thanks again for the advice, these courses are in the sociology/psych areas.
