Anyone having problems getting the trade-in giftcard? my local BB, which is on the trade-in list, doesnt want to honor the GC promotion. Talked to store manager and everything. they only want to give me $24 total for NSMB wii and mario galaxy 2. Any ideas?

I think I'll be taking advantage of the $50 system Gift card deal. Time to cash in everything. I wish their was a bundle deal with a gift card though. No store pick up to check whitch stores have them though.
I just bought a 250gb 360 from them a few days ago. Will they give me a gift card if I bring in the receipt?
yes they'll give you the GC. technically you gotta bring in the whole system reboxed, but the BB i bought from just did reciept. Call them and they'll tell you.

They WILL NOT give the GC with the holiday bundle though. My brother tried to get the GC for his and they said no. Would let him return the bundle, and buy a new 250 sysytem then get card, but NOT re-buy the system he returned.

You can lose some serious weight and get in shape with Wii Fit. You can set up a workout that is pretty much all plyometrics. If you don't think you can lose weight doing plyo then your already in good shape or you've never done P90X. Bring it!
I'd like to throw in an interesting find:

I called Best Buy to ask if they'd PM on the holiday bundle deal at TRU (essentially the same console in the ad, but with 2 games), and they said no. I then mentioned the ad for tomorrow (which is essentially the same deal, but without games), and asked if that would include the holiday bundle. She was unaware of the ad, but said that to the best of her knowledge, as long as the holiday bundle is in stock, they most likely will match the gift cards for the holiday bundle in addition to the non-holiday non-kinect bundle as they're the same price.

I'd love for confirmation from another employee as I have to wait till tomorrow morning (due to the ad not being out yet), but they're holding it for me.
Any way to check store availability for this holiday bundle? I don't remember what it had.

I just called and asked if they had the Xbox 360 250 gig holiday bundle (came with Allen Wake + Forza if I remember right) and they confirmed it. The online site doesn't mention it. It should be $299 (just like the one in the ad).

Also:

CONFIRMED! Holiday bundle 250 gig (comes with 2 games, along with what is in the standard 250 gig model) @ $299 DOES come with the gift card for $50! I didn't have to hassle them at all, it rang up at purchase.

They should, as it rings up by default with the holiday bundle. I just picked mine up. Perhaps he got the Kinect holiday bundle (if one exists)? The one that rings up at $299 though (just like the default bundle) rang up with the $50 card.

Thanks for this. I wanted to pick up the kinect bundle, but I may just have to buy this and the kinect separately.

I remember reading somewhere that the bundled kinect plugs into the 360 for power where if added on to a separate 360 (possible a non S version) it would require it's own power supply. Can anyone confirm this and if I get the holiday bundle with the Kinect separate will they each need their own PS?

Thanks,

JD

Thanks for the info!

Mafia 2 looks pretty awesome. I just might purchase it at that price. $30 isn't bad per se...

TRUS can fu$kn suck it!!!

I've got $35 worth of R'US dollars and I couldn't use it on the guitar hero world tour guitar package($39.99) at the store

Manager didn't know what was going on and customer service said they'll call me back in 7-8 days.

Yup, worked for me too! Just showed my receipt and got the gift card.

no holiday bundles at mine, but no biggie, already have forza and alan wake

walked out with a 250GB, $50 gift card, and the last chatpad

total spent, $29.99 thanks to no sales tax and a ton of reward zone certs!

Best Buy's trade in values for Shawn White Skateboarding are $25 for 360 and $26 for PS3. (as posted on their website)

Game is on sale for $19.99 this week.

Thanks for the updates on the Holiday Bundle being included automatically in the $50 GC deal, guys. Now to track one down.

I've found the UPC for the bundle (885370238907) but unfortunately there's no listing for it on BestBuy.com

EDIT: unfortunately, the UPC on the holiday bundle appears to ring up with the same SKU as the regular 250 gig (1069212). In any case, I found a couple mixed in with the "bundles" on the floor at the local Best Buy, promptly removed the ridiculously overpriced ("on sale", no less) HDMI cable paired to the box with a giant rubber band, and purchased 1 of them. Rang up with the $50 giftcard no problem.

Unfortunately, as expected, it was absolutely no go on the 4 gig Kinect bundle + $50 giftcard. Manager shot me down.
Whats better: Biggest Loser or Your Shape Fitness?
Biggest Loser is awful. It's like it's not even trying to track your movements most of the time. I'm liking Your Shape quite a bit, though.

I just called and they can't look up UPC's. I did find a bundle so I will ask how to look it up for others and will post it here. This system just got a little cheaper :bouncy:. Thanks for the info.
I'm debating between kinect sports or your shape fitness
I have a $25 giftcard to spend which would you recommend?
I can only vouch for Kinect Sports, but it's a ton of fun. I have a 4 year old son who loves it too, but it's even entertaining for adults. Strongly recommend.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about Your Shape though.

Doh! Well I'll check at the store a couple blocks away in an hour or so. Basically, we need the company's own SKU for the item. It should be on the receipt or on the shelf label.

Thanks though for the confirmation on the holiday bundle being included. That 4 gig S + Kinect bundle for $299 with a $50 gc would be nicer though, LOL.

Just got the bundle and $50 GC at my local Best Buy. They had at least 6 of the holiday bundles left, but they were sneaky about them and had them in an area that wasn't with the regular systems.

I'm pretty pleased--gonna sell Forza and get rid of the Alan Wake code to make back a little cash on this. My old Halo 3 edition 360 finally died on me.

I just bought a 250gig on 12/26 at BB. Any chance of going to BB and getting the gift card under their price match policy?

It should be within the date range for pricematch (14 days I think on videogames software/hardware).

I'm just trying to figure out what to use the $50 GC on...Kinect for $100 instead of $150? Still a bit too much for my taste.

I got my Kinect for $100 from the MS store after using a $50 coupon. For $100...Kinect=OMG.

Maybe part of the reason why I'm so blown away by this thing is because I work in motion capture, and I've seen some companies develop motion capture systems that sell for around $60,000 using a similar principle, and the quality of tracking is near identical.

Amazon is now doing a $50 credit on the 250GB kinect bundle.

My wife played Just Dance at her cousins house on New Years, she came back wanting to get the game. I looked on Amazon today and saw JD2 was $30, so I picked it up. Anyone thinking of getting this game from TRU could also get it at Amazon.com, if you don't need it immediately.

Mafia 2 looks tempting, though with nearly $50 worth of DLCs out I gotta wonder if they'll put out a GOTY/Gold edition in a few months.

I used my GC on the quick charge kit and Fable III. Kinect is tempting also, but I'm waiting for more games + a sale of some sort on it.

Thanks. I saw the deal on Slickdeals earlier today and went for it. It's a good thing my BB did not have any of the Holiday Bundle in stock yesterday.

Not exactly related to this week's ad but relevant to this store. Is it a safe bet that local TRU's will have copies of LBP2 CE on the 18th? Their site doesn't have it for preorder and I have a bit of credit I need to use by the end of the month.... Does anyone know?

Also, do they carry XBL/PSN/Wii points cards etc? I assume they do but I never really go to TRU.
wish they had some better sales!!!

my rewardsrus certificates just came up and the expire in less than 2 freakn weeks!!!
You and me fucking both. The damn thing expires on the 14th and there's not a damn thing I see at TRU that's a good value. The only thing I'm considering getting is RDR Undead Nightmare, though, truthfully, I'd rather just drop $10 on PSN and grab the DLC that way since I don't see myself jumping into multiplayer.

I think you're missing the most important item in this circular: fuckING LEGO NINJA.
Oh, not to mention a store actually advertising clearance. Most stores try to cover that shit up like it's Shangri-La.

Yep, me and a few of my friends are in same boat. I'm waiting on next week's circular before I freak out though, its gonna probably suck so I'll need to come up with something good to use em on.
By chance do you know if you can pre-order Dead Space 2 collectors at Toysrus?
Nevermind, I found it:

Madden NFL '12 - $39
NFS Shift 2:Unleashed - $39
Gears of War 3 - $47

3am Doorbusters :
NBA Elite '12 - FREE (while supplies last; maximum 2 per store)
