Yep, me and a few of my friends are in same boat. I'm waiting on next week's circular before I freak out though, its gonna probably suck so I'll need to come up with something good to use em on.
By chance do you know if you can pre-order Dead Space 2 collectors at Toysrus?
Not sure. I was thinking about using the credit on LBP2 since I'm buying it anyway, but I'm not sure if I can preorder in-store. I'd do it online but the credit is in-store only. Can't stand pointless limitations on credit.

My 360 crapped out a few days ago, and I decided to upgrade to the new slim 360. To my surprise when I got there the "$50 Gift Card" sticker was on the holiday bundle, as opposed to the standard 250gb bundle. I totally spaced and forgot to post it on here, but yeah, it's nice to get the extra games plus the GC.

One thing I was thinking about: I always buy the extended warranty on my systems. Of course, when you buy a bundle like this at Best Buy, if you return it in a year and a half broken, you have to have the original games in the box. If they included a gift card like this, they will deduct that $50 GC from price when they refund it. I was just thinking that if I did return it if it breaks, I will not have to include Alan Wake, as it is a download code, and non-returnable. Kind of a bonus, I should get to keep that whether the system ever goes back or not. Just an fyi, for anyone else who gets the extended warranties... :)
Doh! Well I'll check at the store a couple blocks away in an hour or so. Basically, we need the company's own SKU for the item. It should be on the receipt or on the shelf label.

Thanks though for the confirmation on the holiday bundle being included. That 4 gig S + Kinect bundle for $299 with a $50 gc would be
nicer though, LOL.
The SKU? Mine says:
Package 316120
1069212 RKH-00001/R
XBOX 360 HARDWARE... etc.

Dunno if that helps... :???:
Looks like any Target gift cards coming my way this holiday can be used on groceries.
You can go to target with a best buy or gamestop ad and they will match the price. For instance, this week you could go to target and get mafia 2 for 29.99 as long as you had the best buy sunday ad that is in your local paper :)
PRICE MATCHING, bro, it's tight!

I also got a Target Redcard over the holiday ... which gives you an INSTANT 5% OFF most purchases, including games.
wish they had some better sales!!!

my rewardsrus certificates just came up and the expire in less than 2 freakn weeks!!!
Yeah, got mine late last week and ran into TRU to use them during the B1G1 50% off sale on some clearance games.

I received 3 $5 certificates that expire on the 14th and 2 $6 certificates that are valid from the 15th to 31st. Still hoping for something good to spend the $6 certificates on.

This is the worst rewards program I have enrolled in ... but I guess I can't complain too much about free money. They have few restrictions, can be stacked and have no minimums.
My best buy has a few Mafia 2 Limited Editions marked as $59.99..any chance y'all think my store, as well as others, will mark them down since MAfia 2 will be $29.99 on sale?

I'd love to nab a LE for $30
I would love to grab the LE too. Has anyone heard if it is $29.99 too?

Went to Toys R Us to see what I could find for this week's sales, the 20% off clearance sale. There was no signage at my store. Bought/found two games for $9.98 a piece in a clearance bin.

Only one of the two games took 20% off $9.98. On my receipt, it said "select clearance" on the discounted game.

I was also going to look for accessories that were 50% off, no signage again. It was probably only on "select" ones so I didn't bother.

I saw PS2 remotes for $4.98 though. I wonder if clearance accessories were included in the 50% off accessories?

it seems that castlevania Lords of shadow for the 360 is on sale at best this week for 40. dont know if its just a weekly sale, or a permanent sale. thought id add that in as im going to get it today.
I received a bunch of Best Buy gift cards over the holidays. So, the question is, would it be worthwhile to get the 360 Slim 250 gig on this deal? Or should I wait for a better offer to come around? And if I did leap on this deal, what are the necessities to pick up after (ie: HDMI cable, controller, etc.)?

I already own a PS3 (and just upgraded it's hard drive to 320 gigs from 160 gigs) and Wii. So, it's tempting, but hard to say yay or nay to.
hdmi cable is good, search for deals on those first, wal-mart has an xbox accessory pack you should look into.

wireless controller, play and charge kit which i think will come with the system.

get xbox live. it is worth it and there are deals all over for it lately. (never pay full price for it, 2/3 is the average price if you don't try very hard).

game wise is your own discretion, but go with the obvious ones at least.
FYI, Amazon droped Mafia 2 for 360 down to $19.99.
$39.99 now (or $37.99 though 6ave).

I have had several occasions at Best Buy where this was definitely not the case as I've only ever had to return the hardware. I've actually been able to acquire quite a few of the 2-pack of games this way though that was certainly not my reason for doing so as I have been through six 360s. Of course it's been at least a year since the last one so they could have changed their policy or at least it could be a YMMV situation. I would imagine that the gift card scenario would be handled differently though.
