Super $5-$15 Cheap Ass PC List for 4/25/04

I've gotten on so many $10 games in the past month, that I thought I'd do a super $5-$15 gaming list. Pointing out online and in store bargains I've found. I'll avoid target deals, since they're probably already listed there. (Though I did pick up XIII for $10 there.) Some of these are older, but they're still good. I won't post everything, only the standouts.

Also go to Gamerankings.com for details descriptions of games.
im looking for both system shocks pretty cheap, anything??
No luck. Found a free demo.

System Shock Demo.

Used on Ebay seems your best bet. New for System Shock 2 seems to sell for $30ish. None of the used ebay are currently over $10.

While checking these out, I found a bunch of $5 Star Wars PC games, like X-WIng Alliance, Battle for Naboo, Rouge Squadron 3D, and Jedi Knight: Dakr Forces 2. I think I've seen them in store too.

Nice job, thanks.

Just ordered serious sam gold - which for those who don't know comes with SS 1 & 2 + extra maps and best of all its only $5

Yep. That's over at EBgames. They have X-Wing Alliance, and The original Jedi Knight for $5. They hav e other SW games, but those two are the standouts.

On Another note, for the BB Games, all of those games are on their web site. So go search for the game, and check to see if you have it in store. Will save you the trip if it's OOS.

One more thing. I highly recommend looking at Combat Missions for $10 from Gamestop. This game got linited release from a very small publisher. For the past two years it's been buy direct only from battlefront.com. You cna still buy it direct from there, but it'll cost you $25 bucks. Gamestop has it for $12 with shipping.

CM is considered by some the ultimate hardcore WWII tactical combat game. The graphics aren't the greatest, but they're more then adequete. The game simulates down to bullet physics! It has a huge Mod Community. You could say. It's the Half Life of WWII strategy games. It's a pseudo Real Time/turn game. It's supposed to be awesome. Been looking for it on the cheap.

Check out the web page and the demo.

Sim Golf, Elite Forces II, and Sims Deluxe with $20 GC Back in stock online.

Dungeon Siege which once was found now is gone again. Keep checking back, for tomorrow may be the last day for this game at $10. Also, I may do an update tonight adding some more stuff and fixing others.

Bump for Update!

Minor additions/subtractions but very little changes to original list. Added the Star wars titles (thanks regisphilbi0.) Also added Overstock.com and Amazon.com.

Have fun! :joystick:

That's funny...I was about to say I'd seen these games at CompUSA. The CompUSA stores in my area have good sized bargain bins, and they've been full of older Lucasarts titles lately. I'm still happy that I found Jedi Knight for $5. :D

I've been scouring stores lately to find the Planescape Torment CD's. It came with another game too, but I'm looking for torment. A year ago they were everywhere. Now I can't find one. Oh well.

Also would like to mention that i found starlancer, crimson skies, and metal gear solid in a Microsoft Action Pack for $10 at my local eb. Might be nationwide, as I've seen it at a couple eb's.

Thanks, i got the EA gamers pack, Fallout Tactics, and Jagged Alliance for $55 shipped, so it was only $9.XX each.... now where to get the time to play all of the games...

thanks I have been wanting to try out the original Metal Gear on my PC

They have it for fifteen at Gogamer.com. Search for the Microsoft Action Pack

Didn't include it before because you can get starlancer for $2. But Crimson Skies with just the Jewel Case costs 14.90 at gogamer so for the same price you can get it with starlancer and metal gear. I'll replace Crimson Skies(JC) with this next update.

Also just found whiteout for $2.99 at ebgames.com. KInda funny but they also have it preplaed for $4.99. FIrst preplayed PC game i've seen on ebgames.com

Just found many other cheap games just lowered at ebgames.com
One must fall: Battlegtround $9.99
Crusaders of might and magic $2.99
Comptons Encyclopedia $.99

Right. There are a lot there. Some of them are poorly rated though. Is Whiteout any good? I read Crusaders M&M sucks. Endless Age is a MMORPG.

Also, avoid Pool of Radiance like the plague. I've played it, it's best described as tedious. But even worse, it's the game you don't want to remove. Because there's an install bug and if you try to uninstall it without patching it properly first, it'll corrupt your hard drive and you'll lose everything! There's a reason it's less than $10 everywhere!

Thanks for the Heads up. That would be really bad. I love this list- helped me see a bunch of cheap PC game deals. NOw if only I had a credit card I could pick some up. Stupid high school age... A little off tpic, but do they accept debit cards at onlinse stores? Or only credit?

they do if the debit card have a credit card logo on it, like visa or mastercard debit cards

I've seen Homeworld Cataclysm for 4.99 w/ additional 30% off at my gamestop. Not sure if its better than the original though.

i found iron storm at target for $1.26!!! it wouldn't scan at the cash register so i had to take it to customer service. i guess their scanners are more up to date b/c it scanned in at $1.26 and i bought it for less than $1.50 after tax! :D ymmv of course.

Got a short term addition. Was going through my email the other day and found a free shipping coupon for Overstock.com. Free shipping on everything! But you can use it with the games on this thread to save another buck.

Free Shipping until 4/20

This coupon expires in two days, so use it now or lose it!

Also have two new PC games just added by Overstock.com.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for $6.99 - 89% Gameranking

(Word of warning: Oddly, on the picture for rollercoaster tycoon, it shows the Corkscrew Follies Expansion Pack. So, I'm not sure if this is the regular game or just the expansion. Can someone check this? Especially since they have no refunds for software.)

That's the rumor going around. Supposedly a Memo is being given to local Staples saying its fraudulent. But there hasn't been any confirmation if it's a fraud or not. Some stores say It's not legit and some stores say it is.

For example, I used this coupon on Friday night to buy Diablo II. The same coupon was pasted to the store counter and the cashier checked my printout against it. He then scanned it and it worked fine.

I used it gain Saturday Morning at a different Staples and also had absolutely no problem. I picked up Frozen Throne. But some on Fatwallet have stated that it's being denied at other Staples. Also, the coupon was pulled from Reseller rating or whatever the original site it was posted on.

This would be easily remedied if Staples came out and flatly stated that this was a fraudulent coupon. My suspicion is that since this link isn't hosted by Staples directly you can't confirm if it's legit or not.

Haven't done an update in awhile but frankly there hasn't been anything to really update. 90%+ of the titles on the list are still available. Mostly everything new I';ve posted seperately has sold out quickly. Here are the few new ones I'll eventually have to add...

Longers Journey, Runaway, M&M Collection, Magic Battleground.

And I have one more that didn't deserve it's own post but should definately be bought by all you strategy gamers. (You know who you are... yeah, you who has a cd-rom dedicated to Starcraft on your machine.)

Seven Kingdoms II is $9.99 at Compusa. Pickup only so check if it's available.

Got an 84% Gameranking and a 9.1 over at Gamespot.
