Super Bowl Pool: ATTN: SARAUSAGI please PM MGRIFF ASAP
Bump for the high stakes pool!
Damn that's tempting, sadly the only $40+ current game I own is an Arc the Lad collection.

Is there like a minimum as to how much feedback one should have?

We should make a rule or something that if one person doesn't send their game, they get 24 negatives from the other people in the pool.

I agree. We have to make sure nobody decides to not send. I say the feedback minimum is at least 10... maybe higher.

Being new and only having two trades with positive feedback, I have to argue there should be more involved when excluding people than just "feedback greater than 10."

I'd gladly put down a paypal deposit, or refer you to my ebay feedback, or ship first, or take the 24 negative feedbacks for not shipping, or send my game now, etc... I'm open to ideas.

I would really like to participate and am an honest person.

Any CAGers that are trusted in the Austin, TX area? I can drop my games off with them.

Anyway I'm on the board, but the name is miss-spelled. HakFoo without the "c".

Or if you'd find me as an acceptable entrant for Pool 1 or 2 because of the lesser value, I would gladly trade spots with someone. Zionoverfire mentioned a desire to be in the high stakes pool?

I like the idea of a paypal deposit for people with 10 feedback or less. I'm not sure what would be a reasonable amount though... $10 maybe?

I really would prefer to keep this on the honor system. If we have money involved in any way, even as a deposit, it brings into question certain legal issues that I'd rather not go through. I propose that if anyone doesn't live up to their end of the bargain, they should be permanetly IP banned from the site. I think that that would be plenty strong of a deterrant. That's just my opinion though.

I'm OK with whatever you guys decide. Deposit or permanent banning.

Or just close it to anyone with less than 10 feedback. Except me because I got in before the rule was implemented. :)

It may all be a moot (spl?) point anyway, if we don't get enough people.
For the high stakes pool:
Would like to change my entry to Naruto 3 for Gamecube!
Thanks for running this briansraregames, its a fantastic idea!!
Imports allowed? I vote nay.
Imports allowed? I vote nay.
Maybe that is why he is listed as TBD? I don't know.

I'm indifferent on imports, but understand why others wouldn't want them.

I say no more imports after The Fresh Prince or entry number 9.

I just figured since there are say Wii games listed, and some people may not have a Wii....or Xbox 360 games listed, and some people may not have a Xbox 360....its sort of the same with imports.
Not trying to cause trouble in anyway.

i want in on this. however, has it been decided if the grid will be 100 squares (like pool 2, the good way) or 25 (like pool 1, the bad way) also, are we going to pick squares? its not as big a deal, but id like to, makes me think i have more control even though the numbers are random.

anyway, let me know whats up with that.

id throw up viva pinata (360) but since thats already been ponied up excite truck (wii) can be an alternative.

*please reply before adding me to the pool
is this only games or can i put in faceplate or acc
I can't speak for Brian, but I think accessories would be fine. Of course they'd have to retail for at least $40.

I've had people tell me they prefer the 25 slot pool too, just due to it's simplicity, it's also much easier to run, which is why I like the format :D.

But if you guys want to go the 100 square style, and think it would get more people involved, I'd be open to changing the format.

While I prefer the 100 style, I don't think there's a huge difference and it won't sway my decision to enter either way.

And you know I'm willing to help in any way possible, no matter which route you go with. Just send me a PM if you need me.
is this only games or can i put in faceplate or acc
I don't think faceplates or accesories would be a good idea, do we really want to end up with a prize pool full of faceplates and ps2 multitaps?
I don't think faceplates or accesories would be a good idea, do we really want to end up with a prize pool full of faceplates and ps2 multitaps?
Those wouldn't qualify anyway, right? The common faceplates retail for only $15-$20. I was thinking more along the line of PS3/Wii/360 controllers, 360 live subscriptions, ect.

I guess we should find out what accessory he had in mind.

I am all for the way Pool 1 is set up.....that way everyone gets exactly the same fair chance.....while there may be no "personal control", I would find it more frusterating to be the last person to sign up for a Pool 2 100 square board, and be forced into 4 or 5 specific numbers. Thats my 2 cents, and it also seems that the Pool 1 style is easier to follow/easier to resolve....I'd love the 25 sqaure Pool 1 format!

I was just catchin up with this thread and was interested in participating but is it true that you must have a trade history of 10 or more? I've only traded with one member, and want to join

but don't know what to would be good to throw in?

If I can participate would GUN Showdown for PSP be good, I might have something else NEW to add with it?

Your guys call?

I like the randomly chosen slots and don't care one way or the other for 25 or 100 squares.

Accessories are OK in my book, but would need to be approved by OP. A wireless 360 controller or wiimote would be nice, numerous PS2 multi-taps, not so nice.

I think controllers would be OK, but they should be new sealed. I'd also be OK with stuff like Wii/360 Points or Xbox live cards.
where am I on the pool #2? i PMED YOU yesterday
I'm running Pool #2 and I never got a PM from you.

While the game I want to put up is missing its manual and the back insert is water damaged, would ya'll complain if the game was a non greatest hits Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? Is that all right. If so, I want in.

I would like to get in the High Stakes Pool. Let me know if this is will work.

PSP ALL NEW and SEALED

Dungeon Siege Throne of Agony
PQ Practical Intelligence Quotient
Smart Bomb
I'm running Pool #2 and I never got a PM from you.
oh, I PMed the OP.

Well then, I'd like to enter the high stakes pool w/

MX Vs. ATV On the edge + WWE: 2006 Smackdown Vs. Raw

both used and complete, but in good condition. LMK if that's not enough.

I'll throw in Juiced (xbox) Disc only:cool:

I don't think that will work. The OP said you can do 2 games that equal $40, and those two don't. I don't really think anybody here wants 3 cheaper games.

Plus, if you go the 2 game route, they have to be sealed.

Just to verify, you're pledging all three games, right?

Thinking about entering the high stakes one.. gotta look for a game...

Can you reserve a spot for me? I'll tell you tommorow night the game I'm pledging, or tell you to give up my spot if I can't find anything.

And I hope it's not restricted to people with 10+ feedback. I'll send out my games to whoever wins them and I've done a few trades, but I don't have that much feedback. I have 20+ on ebay and if I didn't pay up my game, I'd expect to be banned/-999 feedback'd.

k, then any two of these games

WWE: Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006 Excellent

Need For Speed: Most Wanted Great Complete

The Sims 2 Great Complete

MX vs. ATV: On the Edge Excellent Complete

Cars Excellent Complete

Wipeout Pure Excellent Complete (Has EB sticker on it)

+ Lords of Dogtown UMD D/O

Is that fine? 2 PSP games + an UMD

Or if they have to be sealed, I'll give a 1gb PSP memory card. Is that sufficient enough?

I would think winners choice between those would be sufficient. Winner can choose 1gb card or 2 games/umd?
Would a Super Mario Bros. Game and Watch in Mint Condition suffice for the high stakes pool?
Personally I would be ok with that.

Just my 2 cents.
This pool needs some more 360 games.... ;-)
Agreed

Come on, someone has to be sick of Gears of War or Rainbow 6 Vegas by now.

If we're not on the first two pools already would we be allowed to throw in stuff for a second spot to get the pool closed and increase our odds?

I'd do it

I think that we have enough people in the pool to operate it successfully. If we can't get the last pool full, what we'd probably do is to have "push" spots on the grid. If the score falls on those spots, it would be a draw.
