Super Fighter Collection II X 3rd Impact: Mark of the Turbo for Matching Service

So what's the best stick for under $50? That Ultimate PS2/Xbox one? (one that works with both would be great, since I've got fighting games on both systems.)

The best stick you find for under $50... I don't know about that, I don't think there is any quality stick under $50. You can try getting a T5 Hori(US) but that's just an good stick, it could definately be better.

There is no DC > PS2 convertor. :(

The agetec is kinda prices though, it'd be a good deal if you can get it for under $50. You can just rewire the PCB and change the wire out to work on PS2.

Did no one read my post on the Naki stick? The Naki stick is GOOD. Works great, feels great. Get one!

Oh yeah, and get this:

Meh, I never liked the KOF fighting system. Feels dated, not to mention looks dated...KOF has hardly changed in almost a decade.

Speaking of, are they even making 2D KOF's anymore? 2003 is the last one I ever heard of.
So this one isn't good?
I never used it, but signs point to no.

KOF 11 is the new 2d KOF

Urm...Darkside says it's good, you say it's not. DECIDE!! :oldman:
I need help deciding whether to purchase it or not...my local Gamestop has a few in stock.

He said it's stiff and clicky, last time I checked that wasnt a good thing.

VGM...?
VGM...?
This what he said:

It's the Naki Ultimate Fighting Stick. It's wireless, and compatible with PS2 and Xbox . The receiver has a port for the XBL Communicator so you can get your talk on. Those two nubs are self-centering (!!!) trackballs in case you need to use the analog sticks for any purpose. Katamari Damacy becomes a whole new game with those.
The stick is very clicky, and the buttons are pretty resilient. I highly recommend it.
As VGM posted, you can get 'em at Gamestop.

I don't know why anyone would want resilient buttons. It's like clothes or music, everyone likes different shit.

Urm...he "highly recommend"ed it...sounds fine to me :|

I have absolutely no trouble performing any moves with the Naki stick.
I like the click so I can hear when I've hit the direction.
The buttons provide less shock to my hands than the T5 stick (just one example).
Different strokes for different folks.

Hit up a Gamestop and ask them to pop one out for you. Couldn't hurt...

VGM: If you can find a DC>PS1/PS2 convertor, by all means let me know.

Also regarding the Saulabi imitation stick, aka the Naki. I personally don't like wireless controllers for fighting games. But then again I follow frame data learn frame traps... If it wasn't wireless I'm sure it'd be more appealing to the high level competition player.

The stick itself being clicky is not a problem, in fact all joysticks click unless they are flash/360 Happs...
did ebgames ever had that t5 pack? i cant find it anymore
Yep. I hit up two EB stores in my area, and they had a few lying around.

The EBs are in Greensboro, NC in case you wanna call.

If you have a Fry's Electronics store near you they have marked down their Tekken 5 Collector's Edition package to 59.99. That's a STEAL of a price.

A $10 Hori? That's one fucker of a deal!

DAMN I GOTTA GET ONE!!! but the nearest fry's is so far from me its in the middle of nowhere also 60$$ man im not strapped for cash

fuck YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

I just won an ebay auction for Street Fighter Collection vol. 1 for PS1 for $11.50 + ship. I've been looking all over for this game for the last few years.

Finally my fighting game collection is getting better.

anyone know if the naki stick (which I have to say has high sex appeal for those two rollerballs) is cheaper than $40. $40 is a great price, but was wondering if it was any cheaper... plus, how long is the battery life and what type of batteries does it use?

You should have bought it on Saturn
only time it really starts to slow down is on Turbo 3 in SSF2X when two of the larger fighters do supers.

I've been looking around, the Gamestop is the only place I can find that has it. I couldn't even find one on eBay...
Well, one of the wires was severed...
Yeah, I was actually looking for a different one I saw that had something like $40 or $50 in shipping cost listed, but I couldn't find that one.

PS. The sticks were custom built for me....if interested, I can give you the guy's name. He did a great job quite quickly, and let me customize the artwork, layout, etc.. Also, I have adapters for every machine except my N64 and SNES :)

PPS. I am trying to figure out if this sub-collection is bigger, or my shmup collection. Maybe I'll drag those out next :p

PPPS. Luckily the main 3 I don't have (KOF '94, Samurai Shodown 1 & 2 ) I have on MAME on my TV :)

PPPPS. Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting

I currently have:

--Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution (PS2)

--Street Fighter Anniversary (PS2)

Plan on getting soon:

--Tekken 5

 yeah, my collection fluctuates a lot.

Since I last posted pictures.... I have a LOT MORE fighting game stuff in my collection... added a machine, more joysticks, way more games..

Plan on getting a Japanese style cabinet soon too. I'll update when I get that.

And I still need to unpack my Street Fighter collection. :)

Hey man I'm up in Encinitas....I don't play Tekken really, but if you guys play SF3, VF4, SC2, or any 2-d games, let me know :)

How is that Blaze peripheral, anyway? I bought one of their arcade-style controllers way back when during a massive EB clearance of Blaze stuff but I found that, for the small periph I bought, the buttons were just far too loose for even moderate shooter play, let alone fighters.

Just wondering since this is the first time I've ever seen a Blaze peripheral along those lines and it's highly intriguing!

The Blaze arcade controller is actually decent. The only thing i don't like about it is the cheap(plastic-like) buttons and the clicking joystick. I dunno if arcade controllers are supposed to click like that (since that's the only arcade stick i have). But i'm assuming that a better company's arcade controllers (ie. Hori) won't do that. Although i've never owned or seen a Hori stick in person, is there anyone here who has and can give me feedback on it? I'm actually considering one. Either that, or the SF Anniversary Stick. Thanks.

why has this thread been resurrected??? oh wait... it has good stuff nvm...

I would lvoe to post pics of my diminutive colletcctio, but no camera... my collection falls in the line of penis envy... but ending up as the one with the small man peice (sorry coulndt think of a better analogy).

HAHAHA RESURRECTION!

I finally got my hands on a camera and took inventory today.

PC GAMES, and South Park DVDs:

The TV setup I play on most of the time. I do have a 42" Grand Wega outside if I ever need HD (which, having no 360, i don't).

And finally...how could I forget...CRAPPY GAMES:
crappygames9gw.jpg

Never payed more than $2 for any of those, and no I didn't 'seriously' buy any of those. Whenever I have a few bucks change left over from dinner or something and I pass an EB, I buy at least one crappy game.
NOT PICTURED: 1Xtreme, 2Xtreme, some other crappy Action RPG I can't remember the name of.

YESSSS E-Penis + 5 inches!
