I went to a Meijer in Livonia Michigan and saw they had some of those coins so I asked them to ring it up and it came up at 5$. It's cheaper than what they go for online/ebay plus they are brand new. But it is YMMV because your meijer may not have any.

They are actually selling this coin?

I know people want it, but it just sounds shady they are selling something was supposed to be a free gift.

Ah well......I am sure someone will want it.

I doubt they are suppossed to be selling a promotional Nintendo item like that. Im sure Nin'ty intends for those things to be given away to people who buy SMG, or returned to them.

Even if they were for preorders originally, they could at least give them out to people who buy the game now if they have extras.

Pretty weird that they are selling the Coin. A Gamestop in San Jose gave me this coin for free about a month ago just buying a Guitar Hero III for 360.

If its hard to get, I guess its pretty cool to buy it in stores instead of buying it for more on Ebay.

Paying $5 in real currency for a piece fake currency that I got for free a month ago? Now that's a deal! Lol.

I suppose it is good for those who like to collect Nintendo/Mario merchendise.

They still had some at Target on Black Friday. I asked a manager if I could have one and they just gave it to me.
This is a fantastic "Video Game Deal".
Yes, it is.

You are absolutely brilliant for pointing that out.

They had a ton of them at the Perrysburg meijer by the best buy not ten minutes away from the Alexis store.

Was gonna go out there on my way back from vacation today.

It seems like they are leftover from preorders. Anyways, I am happy with getting it for 5$ because people are wanting quite a bit more on Ebay for it. I got my SMG with a 25$ giftcard so I really can't complain.

I got one free from my Gamestop but the manager wrote a big number 12 on the packaging in black magic marker and then underlined it...apparently he's practicing to count at the same time. Odd. At least the coin is perfect :)

Its not that they're selling it but stores that don't get that many sales and the people working/buyers know nothing about promotions means they never give away the pre-order stuff unless they knew. This usually happens at K mart a lot.

its not that they're selling it but it just rings up as $5 since that was the "pre-oredering" price.
