Super Mario Toys in Mcdonalds Happy Meals Sept. 1-21

Ditto on not being that impressed. That said-

I dig that, I don't know why.

Maybe it's the Super Smash Bros running through my veins, but I want to get 5 or so of those and just beat the living hell out of people with the official "Mario Has The Hammer" music from Donkey Kong in the background.

Hey Blaine is that VGrebirth site you have in your sig any good for inputting a collection and wanted games? Does it have as many titles in the database as say IGN.com?

The Mario Ball sort of looks cool. I'll likely get at least a few Happy Meals on $1.25 day. Too bad they went up 25 cents.

Those games are kind of neat though. Mario's Driving Range is ok (fun for a couple shots), but I like the Jammin With Mario one. I'm not that good though so I have to look at my fingers. :p

When is this day?

Its tuesdays, possibly at select ones (so YMMV) but they have those big window displays now that mention the deal at some of them. I think it may be only certain hours too.

Also its just for a plain hamburber Happy Meal. But still only $1.25! I'd get 2 or 3 for myself and get chocolate milks. I still have a surplus of toys from the Hello Kitty, handheld SEGA games, and some other stuff. My mom and her boyfriend just go for the cheap food so I think they just put all the toys away.

I'll have to get more Mario hammers on Tuesday then. Right now I'm in the need of a few more. The mario ball does look really cool. I think I'll get a lot and throw them out to people.

I stopped into McD's last Saturday and on the outside I saw the Mario poster. But my childlike giddiness ended very quickly when I saw the toy display. What was Nintendo thinking authorizing this shit. I have the parachute and Kart from the following image:

These are from Wendy's and blow away the new McD's offering

Don't know if anyone will see this, but I've been looking for more information on the two Mario games that were playable on the Happy Meal website. The "Mario's Driving Range" and "Jammin' with Mario" games mentioned in this thread. This forum post is one of the few mentions of the games anywhere on the internet I can find.

These two games are no longer available online in any capacity. There's not even any screenshots or videos anywhere for these games. If anyone who participated in this thread is able to see this, do any of you remember any details about these games? How they looked? How they played? Any details at all? Any detail, no matter how small, would be quite helpful to me.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I am aware of that article. That article was made after I posted about the two games on the Lost Media Wiki Forums. Before I made that topic, this forum post was one of the very few mentions of these two games anywhere online.
I had the Yoshi toy and the Mario ball from when this promotion was still active. I think the promotion only lasted around a month, which is probably why there's so little info on these two games.

I see. Good luck on your research. BTW, I might remember that screensaver you mention on your post on lost media. Post here if you ever find the flash games. I think a month is a normal cycle for a McDonald's toy promo.

I did end up re-discovering the screensaver on an old hard drive of mine that I thought had died. It was called the Super Active Mario Screensaver. I uploaded a copy of it on the Internet Archive (might not be able to access the link at the time of this posting as the Internet Archive is down for the moment).

I posted a video of the screensaver in action on a Mario subreddit

I think you're right about toy promotions lasting only a month, which is probably why it's been so hard to find any information about these games, since they were available for such a short time. One interesting tidbit I realized that if you look up "happymeal.com/mario" through the Wayback Machine, the September 3rd, 2006 archived page brings up the Mario-themed site, but most of the other saves redirect you to a "promotion ended" page. However, the April 2007 link doesn't bring up the "promotion ended" page, but instead brings up the Mario-themed Happy Meal site again. It looks like they briefly restored the Mario site over half a year after the promotion ended. I wonder if this was on purpose or accidental.
