Super Monkey Ball 2 Cheap??

Is that an online deal, or do I have to find one somewhere? I've never heard of them. I'm in the San Francisco area. Thanks.
 
I was looking for a deal on this game as well, hmm yes I remember mediaplay, but I haven't been there in a long time, I almost wonder if they're even open anymore.
 
I've been searching for a cheap Super Monkey Ball 2. Media Play is owned by the same people/company that owns Sam Goody, On Cue, and Suncoast, but all have closed down where I live. They may have the same price.
 
i got mine on gamestop.com for 23 bucks....a little pricy used but came with manual and case and a clean disk

Even used copies aren't that cheap. My advice is: if you've got a PS2 or Xbox just wait for Super Monkey Ball DX to be released. It's got the SMB1 and 2 on the disc and it's going to retail for $29.99 new. If that's not an option, though, you'll have to just suck it up and pay the non-cheap GC price. It's worth it, though, in my opinion. SMB2 is hella fun.

edit: added the Xbox option for SMB DX.

I'm up at Mt Pleasant at my apt for the summer so it doesn't matter anyway. The last one I remember going to was in Livonia where Wonderland mall used to be, or I guess what's left of it.
 
You won't regret paying that much though. maybe using EB 25% off code will drop it some, but IMO it is well worth the $30. My all time favorite party game (4 player monkey fight, awesomeness)
 
I saw it yesterday at Blockbuster for 13 dollars. That's with the generic dvd case and no manual, though. I think today I am going to go pick it up.

Its across the street from wonderland mall and its still there. Theres plenty of media plays around this area. Monkey ball 2 is only 11.99 used at blockbuster/gamerush thats where i got mine.
 
i've been looking for a new copy for like 2 months now with no luck. I have a thing against used games but i can say its almost impossible to find new. Mainly because its been discontinued :whistle2:\ And as for the DX version i dont think there is even a set date for that yet, but if i must i will pick up that one instead

EB has the ship date for DX listed as November 16th. It's subject to change, I'm sure, but it sounds like it'll be out within the year.

I don't know if it'll actually ship, but Bestbuy.com has it on backorder for $19.99 with free shipping (+tax). I just ordered one & they Estimated Arrival: 8/6-8/16/2004. I'm crossing my fingers.

I couldn't find the Xbox version of DX listed, only the PS2 version. Has the Xbox version of DX been announced?

Odd. EB had had it up on their site, but it seems to be gone now, leaving on the PS2 version.
 
I own all 3 systems, but I still am not sure about SMB on PS2 & XBOX. GC just has such a sensitive & accurate analog stick. The other 2 systems might play a bit sloppily.
 
Thanks for the Best Buy tip. They had it for in store pick up. I've been looking for this for a while now and didn't want to pay $30 used. Now I'll get it for $15 new after GGC.

I'm glad it worked out for you. Unfortunately, all the store around me don't have any in stock. So I get wish & pray that BB actually ships my backorder order.

friedram: The main game is about tilting these worlds (planes) to contol these monkeys trapped inside balls. Think Marble Madness. It also has a lot of fun minigames, like pool, golf, bowling, racing, hanggliding. I already own SMB 1 since the GC launch. I'm looking for more monkey rolling fun!
 
I stopped in KB Toys B&M on Saturday to see if any deals were going on. To my surprise, they had a few copies of Super Monkey Ball 2 there, brand new, factory sealed. They were $30. I've been looking for this game for months, so I'm glad I was able to find it. If you're looking for it, try your local KB Toys. YMMV.

I have that same strange "thing" I just don't like used games anymore. I used to get them all the time for NES and SNES, but for some reason starting with the N64 and ps1, I've only bought new games.
