good guesses. i am afraid of one thing however:

There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar.

God, I really hope Ness isnt gone. At least give the Mother series another character.

I agree, I loved Ness from the first two SSB's and they had best put him in this one soon for optimal Earthbound awesomness.
