yeah, pretty much

Sounds pretty intresting, I love Super Smash but, while i'm not bad at it, I hate doing any journalism. I also wasnt aware there was a tournament crowd for super smash bros...

How can i find out about any SSB: Melee tournaments in my area. I am yet to find anyone to pose any real competition to me. I'd like to do tournaments bigger then the Local Game Crazy tournaments as I find those easier then computer battles.

I think Nirvanaguy is a SSBM guy...Im good, but i know nothing of the "community: or the contests, i also only play with one charecter...Ganondorf

I've been to only one SSBM tournament which was a Gamecrazy one and found it too be far too easy. I'd love for their just to be a place where gamers could come and just have open tournements other than at Game store or Comic Stores. I'm great at SSBM. My favorite character is Pikachu but I'd like to say I"m good with nearly every one.

Liar...I tried that. Now not only do I owe my friend $25 for a busted controller, I lost.
Last time I take advice from you. :bomb:

dude, you didn't pray hard enough!
Character of choice: Sheik. I find her to be the most versatile and best juggler in the game. =)
I primarily use Sheik/Zelda, Mewtwo, and Roy.

Agreed. Thos with an intiment knowledge of the design and stradegies inherent to SSB:M will never understand that it is, in fact, the deepest fighting game ever created, bar none.

The biggest for fighters and just behind Halo, and PC FPS's on the scene.

you misspelled Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. ;-)

but yeah, I kinda wish I got in on the ground level with Smash, now I have to wait for the Revolution version.

Well, I am semi-interested. Undefeated with Roy, I'm pretty much an expert. I even hold the record for a few of the speed trial Break the Target and 10-Man Melee runs.

...However, I just saw the SSBM article in Nintendo Power. That site just stole the idea, and that's bull as far as I'm concerned.
