Any of you Street Fighter 4 fans will love this. Announced today the production of SSF4 arcade machines mean great news for hardcore Street Fighter players and casual players as well.Lets see if this can get the arcades going in a new direction from the dying state they are in.What do you guys think about this good or bad move on Capcom's part?(For anyone who did not know, Capcom was not going to make an arcade machine unless it was wanted alot by the fans.)

Are they actually releasing them in the US or just overseas? I think Street Fighter IV had arcade machines too but Capcom did not (officially) release any stateside.

I was able to play one in Hong Kong last year. Arcades overseas are no joke compared to the ones in the US...like one part arcade, one part casino, one part bar.

Haha that's because it was in Hong Kong. Every place in Hong Kong has a bar and a casino.

Japanese arcades are definitely a joke or three:

Chances are you won't find many over here. I'm sure it'll follow suit after the SF4 cabinets, the import cost is so rediculous that most arcades stateside won't carry them.

I miss the days of when arcades were relevant, I used to walk up to the arcade and put a couple of bucks into Mortal Kombat or SFII. I think the death of the arcades came when home systems started having as good graphics as their arcade counterparts. I still like the idea of arcade games but the only one I seem to play now is Big Buck Hunter in the bar. lol

What's an arcade? You mean the cheap 360?

Joking. I miss going to the arcade. And I miss when random places, like pizza places and card shops, would always have some cool arcade cabinet. I sank far too many quarters into the NHL Open Ice machine at my local card shop. Come to think of it, you don't really see card shops anymore, either.

I was never into Street Fighter type games (mainly because I suck at them), but yeah, I miss arcades. Many a good memory from arcades of the past. We once rented an arcade out and it was blast. Those were the days.
