  • Learn your characters best anti-air
  • Learn your characters best cross-up
  • Learn a big damage hit confirm combo
  • Learn your characters biggest damage combo for punishing unsafe moves (usually it's your highest dmg cancellable normal move into highest dmg special move, or ultra if you have meter)
  • Learn how to combo into ultra (usually FADC)
  • Practice what you've learned in training mode for 10 minutes
Some characters might not have a cross-up, or can't FADC into their ultra. Obviously, learn how to use their other tools. But this is usually the process I use to learn new characters to C-rank them. Now you know how to wreck more than half of all XBL players hooray! :D

IPW has a neato guide that conveniently lists all the things listed above. They seem to be lacking in the combos department though. They are updating it weekly, but probably better to find combo information on your characters subsection on shoryuken.com
 
I learned Seth too. And Sagat.

Just a few more characters and I've learned the whole cast. hah. I'm not saying I know them in and out, but just enough to put up a fight.

You had a very nice Seth yesterday, definitely gave me a lot of trouble. I don't think you picked Sagat in any of the matches we had but he looked pretty solid.

I might be down for some SSF4 on the usual night. However, I know Guardian, Shinobi, & a few other have been playing some BlazBlue and I'd really like to finish some of those achievements. Hopefully bs went to the library so he can join us. Anyone else is more than welcome.

Oh and DLC characters confirmed for SSF4 this fall. Here's my new main:

fun times last night..too bad that fightpad is pissing me off and cant get the ultra's out when i want and keep teleporting by accident :(

Good games last night. There were a surplus of execution errors on my part too. It was an off night. When you played Seth, I was waiting for the fireball counter Ultra that never came out.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was having problems last night. I was nailing all of my BNB combos in training but kept dropping the links in matches. That's part of why I switched over to BlazBlue with Shinobi :lol:.

GGs as always last night.
 
Yeah, I would of beat Roses in the 2nd round, but I kept teleporting when he did the fireball instead of the ultra :\

Then the 3rd one would have been EXCITING!
 
GG's to TooLateforRoses, MtlTom, Flppr, Guardian, & whoever else was in the room last night. Sorry I wasn't part of the conversation...the boss had me running reports on remote access for a deadline this morning, so I was mucking around in BO when it wasn't my turn.

Also, I feel bad...as Flppr pointed out my inadequacies on combos last night ("that's it?")...the shame! I promise to be brave and try a few next fight night instead of going for the safe throw (hopefully I'm on and attentive, without work nagging me). I did feel somewhat proud of my first round with Fei Long against bs000's Sakura, though!

Also, MtlTom's DLC character pic was awesome (is U1, poker face or bad romance?) Hopefully Sean, Karin, Q, and Sodom make the DLC cut this fall!
 
There are soooo many bad B rank players. Alot of them have liek 3000 BP cause they've lost so many times after getting to B rank. I ran into a 9000 BP gief and I thought he was going to wreck me but all he di dwas lariat and all I did was Blanka ball and I won. Then I was wondering how the hell he managed to get up to 9000 BP playing like that.

Bad romance, it's a variance of Rufus's Super.

And if they bring anyone to SSF4 as DLC it ought to be Urien!
 
Dont worry Shinobi, I usually just throw too, but i think if you did a lil combo you would of won it =)

I fought tons of BAD B players too! A few of em rage quit against Seth too, its great :)

Anyway, the TE stick is on sale at amazon for 99...i wanna buy it but wife would killll me

Also, I dunno if guys like to see the inputs from the fight in the video. I think its great to see what the person is doing, but it also distracts me from the the match imo.
 
I played vanilla SF4 today. Well uhm, you know Super SF4? Vanilla is like that, except it's the end of the world, and an ocean of Ken and Ryu is all that has survived.

We should ttlly have a vanilla SF4 night

When I got your invite I was going to put in my SSF4 disc and probably get really upset. I'm glad you warned me, lol.

Vanilla would be tight but no lobbies = boo. If anything we need to get on dat HD Remix!
