Superbad

Really you guys? It was a good flick, but I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed after hearing all the hype.

Penis pictures were by far the best part of the movie.
Wow....you guys really like this. I didn't think much about the movie watching the commercials. Maybe I will check it out..
Same here. Hell I thought it looked like shit (except for McLovin) until I saw the clip and the reactions. I might try to check it out when I'm in CA next week.

The critic for the Providence Journal not only didn't like the movie, he also misspelled McLovin "McGlovin" throughout the review, even though you're shown the ID several times in the film. He's pretty much always off on his reviews too. What an idiot.
One of the greatest lines in the whole movie:

We assume you all have guns and crack!
This was my favorite line, for sure.
best line IMHO:
"What's it like having a gun?"
"It's like having two cocks."
If one of your cocks could kill someone.

Seriously this was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time, it was basically 2 hours of laughing. I liked it a lot more than 40 Year old Virgin and Talledaga Nights by far. It's one of those movies that was so funny I can't even begin to think what was my favorite scene or my favorite line.

Although the one I kept saying after the movie (and the rum) was the part where McLovin (best name ever) said...

You don't have the steady hand or the technology to do that!

Best burn ever.

I think this movie stands in a realm of comedy that is uniqely wrapped up into it's own place. There was nothing amazing really about the movie in terms of why it needed to be hyped or whatever... it was just a very well crafted event... and I say fuck yeah!

still it sucked ass for seth when
the girl rubbed up on his leg... >_<

Someone perioded on my leg?!

I don't know about all this funniest movie I've ever seen shit, but it was good, and it's definitely worth seeing. I think Jonah Hill blows Michael Cera outta the water as far as funny goes though. The movie's got a ton of good one liners.

"He find this Ghostbusters lunchbox dick treasure chest" was one of my favorites.
Another great line...

was when McLovin was about to get lucky and he goes "I got a booooneeer!"
the entire audience erupted with laughter, howling and whistling at that line. It was fantastic.

same reaction near the end when
they torched the cop car
.

This is definately one to see opening weekend. The audience heightened the experience. Going to see it again next weekend, hope the audience reaction is the same.

I think a lot of that had to do with the way the characters were written.

Really funny movie, and anyone looking for a laugh should check this out. I will probably get this on Blu Ray when it comes out.

were you an arrested development fan? because the whole time i kept thinking that evan was george michael, i mean some of his lines and reactions were just like george michael, i loved it.

They said that would happen in health class.

Thats exactly what id picture george michael saying, great line.

Just got back from the movie and it didn't disappoint at all! I enjoyed the whole thing and will definitely pick up the DVD when it comes out.

I hate to go against the grain here but I thought the movie was ok. I didn't laugh as much as I liked to.

I'm glad I went to the early show though..

Between this, knocked up, and hot fuzz, this has been an absolutely amazing year for comedy. In fact, comedies have definitely improved lately (Borat, 40 Year Old Virgin, Harold & Kumar). Hopefully, it becomes a trend.

Also, I can not wait for Harold & Kumar 2, and for Steve Carrell in Get Smart

Loved every scene with the cops and McLovin, best scenes in the movie to me.

Prepare to be fucked by the long dick of the law!

I loved the movie, the only problem i had was that the audience was packed with jock frat guys who will use lines from this movie for the rest of this year and overkill it just like wedding crashers and other movies like this. Also half the movie i couldn't even hear due to those neanderthals laughing so loud. Whatever, can't wait till its out on dvd.

almost always frat jocks kill jokes the fastest... they need to learn that some movie lines are just good when in the movie and nowhere else... this happened alot with Borat, and now I can't stand anything from that thing when I'm not watching it.

Chappelle's Show all over again.
I've never seen Borat and I'm already sick of it. People quote that shit to no fuckin' end.
oddly same here... I lost interest for it when everyone started to really kill it.

Becca: "your dick is soooo smooth"
Evan: "Your's would be too... if you were a man"

Amazing:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

i liked Cera in this. Its like he played an R rated George Micheal from arressted development.

One of my favorite scenes has to be Cera singing..that had me on the floor.
i liked Cera in this. Its like he played an R rated George Micheal from arressted development.
It was very weird to see George Michael use profanity.

So, I haven't read much of this thread and don't know what the consensus is, but this is the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. It's right up there with Anchorman IMO.

That and
"We should be GUIDING his cock, not blocking it"
nearly killed me

I haven't enjoyied a movie like this since Hot Fuzz. It's easily one of favorite movies of the year . . . but I'm not sure if it beats Knocked Up.
I still think the conversation Seth had with the Home Ec teacher was brilliant.
No offense, Home ec is fucking retarted, no offense.
Anchorman was horrible
Normally I would say that you are welcome to your opinion, but you shall not speak ill of Anchorman.
I just loved it when the cops ran from the cops.
"Oh shit, its the cops!"
Easily my favorite line.

loved it though I wish the trailers didn't ruin some of the laughs
most of the trailers i saw were only from the first 20 minutes, so that was good, a lot of the best lines werent in the previews.

One of the first movies where I have laughed out loud every couple minutes. I still think the Cops/McLovin scenes stole the show though

a lot of the mclovin stuff was in the trailer, would have been much funnier if it was a surprise

Mos def. I laughed when I first saw the trailer, but I knew it was coming in the movie.
