Surprisingly the Last Movie You Saw Didn't Suck

"Slusho". Advance world premiere - we were the screening they shoot the commercials with. Very cool.

Going to screen "A Tale Of Two Sisters" next week.

I saw I Am Legend last night. I'm a sucker for end-o-times movies so this was a pretty easy one to like. It's no 28 Days Later but it was worth watching.

Cloverfield, midnight premiere.

Holy shit it was fucking awesome!
How was it?
3:10 to Yuma is the best Western since Unforgiven.

Just got done watching 3:10 to Yuma which was a very good movie and before that I watched Good Luck Chuck which i thought was a good movie also. I really want to go see The Orphanage, anyone see it yet?

Once
Stardust
Death Sentence

Enjoyed all three (pleasantly surprised by Death Sentence), but Once was amazing. I need to pick up that soundtrack now.

Stardust was a lot of fun, the closest anyone has come to replicating the formula that made Princess Bride a modern classic. Makes me wish Hollywood would get their shit together and make a movie out of Gaiman/Pratchett's Good Omens.

Really dug this movie.
Hmm...hadn't heard of this but it sounds right up my alley. Added it to my Netflix queue. Thanks for the recommendation.

It's a bit slow but full of symbolism and meaning. Hope you like it.

Watched Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 (well... 2.1) on Blu Ray in the last day... still love both of those movies, even though I generally hate movies based on comics.

Yeah, its alright. If you're going in expecting something as high quality as Pan's Labyrinth you'll be severely disappointed but its alright I suppose. I'd probably give it 6-7 out of 10.

Yea I liked it a lot. Not as great as Pans Labryth, but i'd give it a 8-9.

If you are scared of dead children don't see this movie. Seriously.

Had a movie weekend with some friends, watched a bunch of movies.

There Will Be Blood
Juno
No Country for Old Men

I agree, but 3:10 has been like the only western since Unforgiven.

Hotel Rwanda.
"I think if people see this footage, they'll say Oh, my God, that's horrible. And then they'll go on eating their dinners." ~Joaquin Phoenix is right.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0400063/ "Sometimes in April" - People will watch this footage and they'll say OH MY GOD and then get naseous and horrified"

Watch this one, Hotel Rwanda (the movie) was the More subtle Version of that event.

Last Movie i saw, was "The Ghost and the darkness" Which stars Micheal Douglas and Val Kilmer, after seeing along time it ago when it came out on VHS and remembering i saw it recoreded on my TIVo the other day and couldnt resist, I still love every bit of this movie for some odd reason, Maybe its the hunting or the lions, or just how much of a badass Micheal Douglas was in the 90's. (If you ever seen falling down you would know)

I will check out Sometimes in April sounds good. Falling Down is classic Michael Douglas.

Cloverfield - pretty much stole ideas from godzilla, king kong and alien and mashed it up into a movie thats boring and very bad.

...and created a marketing blueprint for every other sci-fi/horror/whatever movie that is thin on plot and has dreams of outgrossing anything that has ever opened in January.

That marketing dept better have gotten a raise.

Just watched Superbad last night, pretty good.

Knocked up was good also.

3:10 to Yuma was okay, last 15 minutes pretty lame though.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
First time seeing and I was impress by the acting and environments than the story if that makes any sense. Pretty good movie overall.

Once - Great music, not a typical song and dance interlude musical, recommend seeing it even if you don't like "musicals"
Eagle Vs Shark - Very impressed with this film, like Napolean Dynamite toned back a bit with characters you actually feel for
The Orphanage - It was pretty good, the ending is a tad too spelled out and theres one unnecessary scene in the middle of the movie that is disturbing(to me at least, gore wise)
