Switch-a-roo on Gamestop

So my friend made the mistake of buying Black Ops 2 last week from GameStop for $60. He already opened his copy.

I told him he should buy another copy from Best Buy for $40, then return that new, sealed, Best Buy copy to Gamestop for his $60 refund. I'm sure someone tried this. It works right?

depends if either of them had a special upc specific to their respective store. as long as they are the same than it's fine.

AFAIK Black Ops didn't have any store-specific editions, so go ahead.
