Tacos for Life in exchanged for your Playstation 3

Say a taco is 80 cents where you live. Say you have one a day- that'll last about 43 years. If you have 3 a day, which is more reasonable for a meal, that's only about 14 years. If you have six a day, which is reasonable for a day's worth of entrees, that's only about four years' worth. The "lifetime supply" is extremely subjective. Still not a bad deal IMO if you like Taco Bell.

I would totally do that. Think of all the homeless people you could feed. Although they might hate you an hour after they eat it.
My stomach could only tolerate maybe $25 worth of taco hell in a lifetime.

being a college student, given the fact i would be drunk 2 or 3 days of the week, i would milk this shit for my friends and i.

thank god for people like you who thinks of this shit :)

so how does it work? TB sends the winner a Tacos for life CC thingy that you just place your order, give the chick in the window the card and thats it? Also I bet you TB is going to put a limit like 3 tacos per day limit and like no other stuff like grilled stuff burritos and other good shit.

It sounds more like they'll give you 12,500 dollars worth of gift certificates. So it should be good on anything, good deal if you like taco bell food. Or at least can tolerate it.

Actually, I would do it as well. I would then proceed to take the free taco money and feed a few dozen charitable causes, and use the whole thing as a huge tax write off.

No idea if that would work or not tax wise, but it sounds good in theory :)

$12,500 is more like 5 years of taco bell. Taco bell is the only place I know of that even skinny people gorge themselves at. Everyone orders at least 5 things at Taco Bell.

Doing the math that DoK provided that means that based off the fact you would have to be 21 to enter the contest. The gives you Taco Bell almost until you die. If you live by the "average length of life."

fuck yeah, I love taco bell. Sell some of the certificates for like $3,000 and then eat there once a week or so for life, sounds good to me.

if it was 12500 for blimpies or hardees then id go for it. but yeah taco bell like krystals is one of those foods you only eat very rarely because of how quick it goes down and comes back out. now if it was food at a real mexican restaurant or maybe at a decent taco wagon thatd be cool too.

If a taco supreme is $0.80, then the gift certificates will net you 15,600+ taco supremes, or just shy of 3.5 million calories.

If we are responsible people, we wouldn't consumer more than 2,000 calories per day. If we abide by that, and only eat the Taco Bell, that will last 4.7 years, which is, possibly, far longer than your PS3 will.

"I dunno, I could really go for 100 tacos right now."

"This will provide adequate sustenance for the Dr. Who marathon."

As I said in chat last night, gimme unlimited Quiznos or Chik-fil-A, then we'll talk.

Besides, the PS3 can synthesize tacos out of thin air.

I would do this in a heartbeat, yes I would be out of a ps3 and 600 bucks but come on, the system will drop in price in a couple of years but I would still have tons of taco bell money left. Or of course could always just sell the GC's for straight cash on ebay.

well on a grander scale if anyone can use these and they arent just for you to use then why not sell them for 25 or 50 cents on the taco bell dollar. thats way more than the price of a ps3 and im sure you could sell them to schools or your friends or frat houses. hell why not sell them on ebay in bundles of 500 taco bell bucks.

I doubt they give you $12,500 worth of Gift Certificates. They probably give you a special Credit Card type thing, with your name on it, and send out a memo to all locations telling cashiers to accept the card.

I'd take it in a instant

The one problem with my school is that there isn't a taco bell nearby... only fast food I'll eat.
Can you eat a PS3?
no, but it cooks a mean steak:

No, that is not a photoshop http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/20/the-ps3-grill-cooks-a-mean-steak/

as you can see, people are already doing stupider shit with their PS3's than exchanging it for free tacos. I hear a few people are even using it to play Genji

ohhhhh so good. i haven't actually seen a Taco Bell around Berkeley, but if i hadn't already hocked my PS3 i'd seriously do this.

I have a PS3 and I'm willing to do this, but I'm worried it'll say "Not for resale" on the certificate or something. I'd get the $12500 and sell it for $4000 or put it on ebay or something.
Friends, family, and PS3's, they all die eventually. The warm embrace of a Spicy Chicken Soft Taco lasts forever.
Go to Taco Bell and your life will be complete. You can rest in peace.

I hate when companies run these promotions. What they should do is allow you x number of tacos per day for as long as you live. That's tacos for life. Not $12,500 worth. Though, honestly, how long would it take you to go through these tacos.

There is one thing you guys aren't factoring in, inflation. Sure, it could last 40 years at today's prices, but in 10 years, tacos will likely be well over a $1. If you factor in a 3% inflation rate (on the low side historically) your likely chopping 10 years off of it. Not as much of an issue for the 4 year run.

All that being said, $12,000 worth of taco bell food for $600. I think I'd jump at that. I think I'd sell portions of it to aquaitences, maybe giving them 1/2 off taco bell food, get a few hundred back, and then buy a PS3 in a year or so when they are plentiful.

I would have gone for this in a second too. I like Taco Bell quite a bit, and I'm sure could easily get my money's worth with this.

I'd eat there at least once a week-let's say at least $10/week. Just about a year to break even, and from then on out, free tacos :)

Know I'm a little late, but I just emailed, and I'm 100% interested in legimately doing this. Hopefully they haven't found someone yet.

Mtv news just came on and said that taco bell is running a promotion where the first person to surrender their ps3 to them gets free taco's for life.... anybody else see this?
