he's not the only one with that many icons (shortcuts on it). Heck my desktop has more coupon images (thanks cag) then programs. I need to clean it out as most of them expired

Christ...my brain would catch on fire if I ever had to see that many icons. I never have more then 1 or 2 icons on my desktop. I have a rocketdock plugin that make my PC like a Mac so that all I have to do is scroll down and my shortcuts pop up.

Actually, I hardly ever use the "tower" anymore. I use it as a file/print sharing device. I use my laptop much more and I keep the laptop's desktop clean. When I do need to use the tower, i just put the files on the desktop so I can find them easy (I don't use it enough to remember my filing structure). When the screen gets filled, I go through the trouble of sorting them to where they should go and start again.

I figured someone would see that. I got it at the Star Trek Museum in Las Vegas. You might also notice that the prints on the wall are Star Wars art. If you could see just to the right, you would get a glimps of the Enterprise model I spent 4 months building. My sci-fi toys are only allowed to fill the top of 2 bookcases in the office though, that keeps me from going crazy buying things I don't really need.

The cat is the same one in my avatar. I have another (all black) one, but he does not photograph well.

I can't stand icons. If possible, I have none on my desktop (like on my laptop currently, only one on my tower is recycling bin). I used to use Rocket Dock, but it was using up memory and was too slow. Now I use Launchy. Hit Alt-Space, type in a few letter, and up opens the program. Way faster than icons or a dock.
