I believe you need the one with the 2.5+ firmware update for the glitch free version.

I believe you pop it in and see which PSP version it gives you. Correct me if I'm wrong though. And yea, it's 2.5+

mine is 2.0 and i've beaten the game with no problems...i remember hearing about the glitch with the switches...never had an issue

Update: I was able to get ToD II for the PS for 50 and then managed to get a 2.5 version of ToE on eBay for $25. Thanks for all the input.
