Whatever store got all that money can live off the interest from it alone. Exaggeration of course, but that's crazy. This website alone has put me off from ever pre-ordering or buying at full price unless there is an extremely good giveaway for doing so.

If those were purchased through cash and not store credit through trade-ins then I'd consider it quite a waste. As someone already pointed out the interest while not huge would be enough incentive to leave it in my account rather than let EB have it now. Besides who in the hell has time to play all those games.

spin03 failed to mention that this list consists of preorders from Gamerush - so I assume most were done for $30 using the $5 bonus trade-in deal (ie, double-dipping). So that means Engineer_J only paid $10-$15 or so out of pocket for each one (he said many of the preorders came from CC $1.99 titles). Still alot of money for more games than one person can ever play, but no as bad as it seems at first.

It would most definitely be a waste if it was all cash for full-priced preorders. I never understood why anyone ever preordered games when they can be had for cheaper just a few days after launch (if not on launch day itself). And yes, I understand there are preorder bonuses sometimes, but most are crappy. But now that I've found GR, I myself have about 12 on preorder.
