Tamagotchis?

I've been unsuccessfully searching for Tamagotchis. I live in the bay area (Oakland, Fremont, Hayward area). Anyone have any clues as to where I could find 'em? I tried a local TRU but they said they haven't had any since Christmas..

Gamestops~ all the ones in my district have about a half a dozen a piece. (and they play wirelessly with each other now!! :lol:...)
 
I just called up all nearby Wal-Marts, K-Marts, Toys R Uses, KB Toys, Gamestops, and Targets..every place was completely out ;(
 
MUST DESTROY TAMASHAQFUINGGOTCHI, Why is it so popular again, if so is it possible we'll see a crap game for the gba or ds like when it was popular way back when there was a tamagotchi game for gb. I hate those little things, I remember reading an old world records book and there was a record on how long someone kept their tamagotchi alive and i was like wtf
 
I always appreciated the drawersfull that teachers had for awhile there from confiscating them, then of course they continued to beep while in the drawer. :lol:
 
A while back, a card and collectible store I used to judge Yugioh tourneys at closed down. The owner was giving away various knickknacks (mostly posters), becuase they wouldn't sell in his other store, and he didn't want to bother packing/moving them. As a thank you for the tourney help, I was given a factory-sealed gold Tamagotchi from the 1st time they came out. Honestly, I was surprised at how jealous some of the players who'd come in for one last game seemed! I never did open it, it's in a box under my bed...
