WTH is with new big release Blus going for $23-25 these days? I thought it was all but law $19.99 was the standard for Blu/DVD opening week. Was there recently some collusion by the studios to jump release prices up to the $23-25 range? I know I got the latest Trek movie for $19.99 opening week, but I don't think I've seen a major release for less than $22.99 since that among the big box retailers.

Unless I can find Pacific Rim for $20, I'll probably be waiting for BF on that along with several other Blus that have come out recently that have been $23-25 I was interested in. There's a line in the sand and I'm not stepping above $20 for new releases(will go above for TV season sets though), no matter how much I might be looking forward to watching them.

Walmart will have it for $20 in-store only. Searching for Pacific Rim on walmart.com shows $23 but if you look at the weekly it has it listed for $20.

I'm not much of a movie buyer but that $23 price point doesn't help. I planned on getting this movie and This Is The End but not for $23. Luckily I found This is the End on ebay, factory sealed, for $16 and I'll be getting Pacific Rim at walmart.

The website or instore? The website shows it at $23 but the weekly ad says instore price is $20. I'm going to Walmart in an hour or so, I'll bring the ad with me just in case.

At Target today, the 3d version of Star Trek is running (at least at my end) at 19.99. I could not find the regular edition of the Blu ray though.Either way was a buy for me, though I ended up price matching at Best Buy as they gave me a 5 dollar reward certificate as well for no reason :)

Was in Wally today, saw $24.95 & didn't bother scanning it. Was hoping for Amazon price match, since my card has plenty on it & cash be tight ATM. Bah, I'll get it at some point in the not too distant future. Old age age made me much more patient, not to mention even cheaper, than I was in my younger years.
