Target and BB has a large shipmet of Wii's

I work at UPS. The Target by my house got around 60 units and the BB got about 110. They are holding them for the sunday ads so i dont see y it wouldnt be only in my area. just thought i'd throw that out there.

Dyme, I would be careful about announcing you work for UPS and giving inside information on when stores are getting shipments. I also work for UPS and we just had a guy off preload get fired for tipping off somebody about a Wii shipment. Big, long, nasty story, but the guy lost his job after 12 years of service.

wow, so you know about the nasty weather here itdefx. yeah, when i left work at midnight we had people getting in line for wii's, i wanted to call them all idiots for that.

yea... I am actually heading to CC a bit before 8am to pick up Red Steel. They better have it stocked for the ad or I am going ape shit on them. There is a good chance the Wii people will go for that game too since it's cheap :whistle2:(

Yea, it sucks so bad. The weather is almost blizzard conditions and the closest Best Buy is an hour from me... I WANT one so bad... :cry:

but you got to ask your self... is your car capable of actually driving well in blizzard conditions? Is your life really worth endangering for some video game system?

If there was a blizzard here, I would just stay at home...yea you won't get the wii, but it will be better than either crashing your car (or someone else's) car and having to explain to your insurance company why you were driving out in a blizzard or getting stuck somewhere/your car breaking down. I would go with Gamestops pre-order program in another week or so... that way you will get it and not have to run around town to get one. If it's for your kids, just tell them that Santa's Elf's got lazy and didn't make many.

As someone who's owned a Wii on two separate occasions, let me assure you that you'll enjoy the PS3 or 360 much more if you're into videogames at all. It's definitely not worth waiting out in the cold for one. If anything, wait until you see them on sale in January, then you'll only have a couple of weeks until Smash Bros. releases.

yea I play my 360/PC more than my Wii. The Wii is only fun when you have other people play with you like friends or Girl friend. I turned in on a few hours ago because I was in the mood to kill some zombies in RE:TUC.
 
I don't know, I play my Wii more then my 360. MOH:H2, Super Mario Galaxy, RE:UC, Ghost Squad, Manhunt 2, and BW2 are all getting a lot of play time from me.
 
funny thing is if i got a Wii i would just play the classic games on it.

breath of fire 2. shining n darkness ect.

they got a butt load of great RPG games on that wii

Wow, what a bold and baseless troll statement.

I'm "into" videogames, and I love my Wii. I play Mario Galaxy, Strikers, Zack and Wiki, Excite Truck, and SSX Blur more than I play my 360 and PS3 combined.

Yeah, you're right--360 and PS3 are just LOADED with great RPG's. Oh wait, that's generic FPS's...

It's great that there are going to be more Wii's for kids this Christmas. It is totally ridiculous that they are supposedly still in short supply a year later, duh! Too bad I am snowed in here, or I would be trying to find one.... Not worth the risk...
 
Fellas, fellas... let's make peace. Why can't all the Wii and 360 owners come together and bash the PS3 as one?

I got a Wii at the Best Buy on Elston this morning. They had 57 I think, and I was somewhere around 45. I got mine last year and am giving this one to my mom for Christmas.
 
I got up at 715 and was at Target by 730....There was a HUGE line already and I left before deciding to turn around and give it a shot....Imagine my surprise when I found out there were enough tickets....They still had a handful of tickets left after they opened....NEW WII OWNER!!

Ditto Here. I actually play XBOX 1 more than That. Once my Ps3 comes..Man, Maybe I should ebay it or call Gamestop to get them all excited and ask what a trade in price is. :lol:

I got at my local Target at about 8:10a. They open at 8 and I figured that it wouldn't be too bad and luckily it wasn't. The store got 72 of them I believe and I was #53 in line. Some guy in front of me said that he just came from Best Buy and they only got 21 in stock for the ad and those were pretty much gone on arrival. I wasn't even planning on buying a Wii but for it to be a full year and change since it first came out and still this scarce is amazing. For me the tipping point was Mario Galaxy. That game just looks too awesome and I may not have a job in January and it woud be good to have something to keep me occupied in between jobs if that is the case and since I have the money now and I can actually find a Wii, why not.
