This is in continuation to the Target Clearance Thread which needed to be closed due to its overwhelming size. Same rules apply (and see the first post of the original for all the detail):

This thread is for Clearance deals, not sale items or raincheck "scams"
Please Post City, State and Store (If City has many stores), game, system and price

Keep extraneous discussion to a minimum, as posts not pretating to clearance deals may be deleted by the mod crew.

As always-- YMMV

Example:

Philadelphia, PA Snyder Plaza
BigDirty's Wild Ride, XBox, $4.98
dues ex- 2.48, target in buffalo. wasnt marked but located where they have the greatest hits games.
I just grabbed this over the weekend at that same price (Target on Hubbards Ln. in Louisville). It was still in the loicked case with the newer games. I also grabbed Freedom Fighters for $4.98.
dues ex- 2.48, target in buffalo. wasnt marked but located where they have the greatest hits games. thank you CAG for compiling the target thread list so i knew what to look for.

when does target mardown thier clearance?
where is the "list" that you speak of? or is it just the thread itself?

:?:

Deus Ex for XBox was 2.48 in Bay Shore, NY. The guy couldn't believe it and actually asked if I wanted to take more than one copy. I might head back to pick up a copy or two for trade-in value or store credit. Anyone know some trade in value for the game?

Probably $3 at EBGames if you're lucky. And no, I'm not joking.
Probably $3 at EBGames if you're lucky. And no, I'm not joking.
probably less than that since they were practically giving the game away about a month ago.

and I saw a bunch of PC stuff at the Green Rd. location today

MOH: Breakthrough 6.98
Zoo Tycoon 13.98
Catwoman 6.98
CS:CZ 22.98
1080 : Avalanche 14.96

all are for PC except 1080 (GCN)

there were others like the Political Machine and Lineage 2, but I did not check their prices

Agh... funny, because I checked fye's prices online, and the PC version is still listed at 50 bucks. XBox version wasn't listed. I might play through it and then get credit at BB... they give at least 5 for my DVD's, and I think 6-8 for games.

FF X-2, Spyhunter 2, and Tekken 4 were all coming up "not in system" or whatever it is...but the jerkface insisted that they were $19.99 games, maybe $9.99 games. I'm not too interested in these titles, but this may be for cheap at other Targets. Previously, when not in the system, I was quoted prices under $5.

Were they out on the shelf or in the glass case? If out on the shelf, try going to a register with a cashier that looks like they won't really care and try to buy it. When they had Sony brand PSOne memory cards on clearance, they were ringing up not in the system. The cashier said, what price am I willing to pay? I told him they were supposed to be 75% off (not a lie since that was the last markdown) and they should be $3.74. He keyed the price into the register and that was it.

The same thing happened to me with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. The woman said I couldn't even buy it because it has no price.

Funny that MK:DA for the Gamecube is no longer clearanced at my Target. It made the jump to the $9.99 value game display. So it's up a penny from when I saw it clearanced. Someone said they bought it clearanced at 4.98 last summer, so it all seems pretty random to me...

heh, that's Target for you, so random. We had some of our $5.50 dvds put out one night and then two days later they were backstocked again for some reason. Fortunately I do a bit of backstock so I tend to have an idea as to what items we have.

Tekken 4 is $10.04. I got it a few weeks ago and had the same problem. It won't ring up at the register but if you see a Target employee walkin' around with a PDT (one of the IR guns for assorted inventory uses) have them scan it. It came up on there as $10.04.

Saw Manhunt for PS2 (non GH) in the case at Target ($49.99 tag in front of it). Asked the cool guy who works there "Bob" (real name, no kidding) to scan it.

Came up without a price . . . he used the hand scanner and said "$4.98."

I bought it for trade so I asked him if he wanted it first (I know he's a gamer). "no, but thanks!"

Anyone looking for it? PM a tradelist . . .

What's going on with Target lately? They haven't had crap on clearance for a few months (since RE0, and that batch). I'm going to a couple tomorrow to see what they have.

I'll let you guys know when the Target I work at finally runs their new year's clearance to flush out all the 2004 electronics inventory in favor of the 2005 stuff.

It's funny the other day I saw Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom for $19.99. Thing is on the front was some sticker residue from those huge Circuit City price tags.

I'm seeing some stores do this. A local wal-mart had the latest x-men game on the shelf with an EB store sticker. Made no attempt to remove. Ironically, I once saw a lady throwing a fit because she tried to return that same game after the 14 day return window at EB.

Old bat probably brought it to wal-mart.

Hickory Hollow, Nashville, TN:
All PC game --

Catwoman $6.98
Political Machine (x2) $6.98
Lineage II $3.74

I didn't get any of them. There were others, but those are the ones I remember.
hmm random Manhunt for $9.98 at the mount pizzle, mi target
Target clearance is so odd . . . Manhunt was $4.98 at mine.

Target is so odd, working there has taught me just how random target is. I think the Target I currently work at is actually pretty bad for clearance too, it seems like we never have the best deals, probably because it's the only Target for at least 30 minutes in any direction. Thus clearance games end up being $5 more or so usually, kinda sucks, fortunately this summer I'll be back home in the good ol' Detroit area.

know any good deals on alarm clocks by chance?

Target does not sell items, the sell SKUs, and each SKU has a specific shelf life based upon how well it is selling.

Once a SKU is released for clearance, they are making room for new items.

I have seen toys go clearance only to reappear 2 months later at full price when a new shipment comes in. Many Target's and doing a heavy clearance of items now, but just watch them reappear this spring at full price.

I have noticed that too with the toys. I bought the Knex Rocket Rollercoaster for $19.98 on clearance only to see it show up again later in the year for full price.

And they seem to even clearance items with different packaging so 2 items that are identical with different packaging can be different prices. Like thsoe mini car coolers that plug into the cigarette lighter adapter. There was one with the old packaging at $9.98 (75% off) but a new shipment of them with new packaging was $39.99 (full price).

Just scanned the clearance today, not sure if it's been posted, but the Eyetoy Groove WITH Eyetoy is at 29.99 now.

Not too bad if you've been waiting for this at a decent price.

cool- are they on the end of a shelf near the household things? i went to look the other day and was going to get blingy and cop a two alarm sony dream machine, but i need something more annoying than waking up to horrid pop stations.

There's just plain nothing at my Targets (Macomb, MI area). I mean, not only nothing good, just nothing at all. This is what I call the Post Christmas drought.

My Target totally blows...

No markdowns at all. Manhunt was still ringing up $29.99...WTF?
Nothing in the place was less than $9.99

This is the Culver City one right next to my TRU.

Totally bogus.
Anyone check on the PS2 Hard drive lately?
I seen it as recently as today for $69.xx with the red clearance tag -- but YMMV as it usually is with Target.

If the HD goes to like $30 I'll get it. There's no way I'll ever play FF XI so I really don't want to pay more than that.

Mine was $67.xx with red tag. Still not enough for me to buy it.

>NBA Jam was $9.99 for the PS2. They had others, but the price scanning machine was too far away for me to check more. Oh well. <

There's a whole endcap devoted to $9.99 games for the PS2 and Gzmecube now. I think there were Xbox games there was well. The PS2 games included NBA Jam and Robin Hood:Defender of the Crown, the GC games included MK:DA.

Probably someone bought it at CC and returned it to Target ;) perhaps an Xmas present, or someone that found it cheaper at one store, whatever...

anyway they're doing "research" at my Target today, so hopefully next time I work all the prices will be updated, clearance and all. A lot of stuff has been going clearance around the whole store, sadly only PC games (and Manhunt) have gone clearance for the video games. Lots of cd players and cd/dvd racks though.

That's the one I usually go to as well, I agree it usually doesn't have a very good selection of cheap stuff. However last year, when Target was clearancing a lot of games earlier in the year, the Target in Inglewood was a pretty good source for me for clearance games.

I need the link to the list of SKU pictures someone made a while back.....not sure if it was in the Target or TRU thread, but it would be a great help. I want to use em at the in-store price checkers. Thanks.

If you're in the neighborhood come see me at the TRU down the street...:) We actually don't have too much though. Meh *shrug*

Actually I am in there quite a bit, atleast for the clearance stuff.

The only good deal I EVER got from Target was when they had Thief: Deadly Shadows for $34.99 ($15 off) 1 week after it came out. I sure am glad I waited a week to get it. :)

I picked up Manhunt sometime around Thanksgiving at the Monrovia Target for $9.99 + tax. Still haven't taken it out of the shrinkwrap yet. If you still have a copy of the Ace Combat 5 guide in new condition, I can trade ya for it.
