The following is all jacked from jimijumper's "The Bona-Fide Target Clearance Thread XX IS NOW CLOSED!!!" thread linked below

Previous thread:

XX

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

Find In Store

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:

Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

I am starting off this new thread going back toOctober 1st, 2012 February 2013.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.
Spotted :360: Telltale Walking Dead for $14.98, which was mentioned a few pages back I think.
Was this in the clearance area, value area, or standard locked up case?

I think the price ending may be true. When prices are really low, they usually end in 4 or 6.

However, the daily clearances are different with every store. One of my stores does electronics Mon and Thurs, and another has no specific schedule.

I don't think I've ever seen any games on clearance at my local Target. I see a few value games every now and then but nothing more than that.

Stopped by a store this morning and they had put some stuff out that wasn't there Monday afternoon. I don't know if they hadn't got to it yet or there were markdowns later in the week.

:vita: Street Fighter X Tekken $20.98
:360: Spec Ops the Line $9.98
:3ds: The Croods : Prehistoric Party! $14.98

Long time no post, but at my Target today I nabbed a Killzone 3 (GH)/PS3 Camo Controller Combo for $29.98. from the clearance section. It was the only one they had and I could not pass up a new PS3 controller for that price, not sure if I am even going to play Killzone 3...

My local Target only had a Club Penguins game on clearance. They had some unmarked Theatrhythm Final Fantasy games on one of the endcaps where they keep clearance games, but they rang up as normal price. I've been looking for that game, so I nearly had a heart attack when I saw it there. My heart got its crap together when I saw it was still full price. lol
Well - I think my local Targets killed clearance for a long time... Here is my discovery after the reset in electronics...

Warning: images may be big as I am uploading from phone.

So they bookshelved a lot of the games that have been reported were on clearance and all were ringing up normal prices, or rather value prices, of 14.99-29.99.
Oh god, they just did this at my local Target but for whatever reason they decided to cram them all on a tiny endcap instead of using the huge "value games" area they had available.

It wasn't even worth looking through everything because they were stacked so tightly together I was bound to knock a dozen games onto the floor.

Loose with other clearance items.
Found PGR 4 for 5.06 and Telltales Jurassic Park for 7.06. Both for Xbox.
I'd love to find Jurassic Park for $7. I don't think my Target even carries it anymore though.
This is actually true. Ending in "4" indicates the final markdown before becoming "salvage". If there's only a few of an item, the team leader can opt to mark the item down again.
Worth noting, when Target "salvages" items, Ive seen a quite a number of items show up at Goodwill Thrift Stores. Target will donate some items their stores. Ive seen games show up from time to time. Games like Ice Age (X360), Singularity (X360) and Ive picked up DJ Hero 2 (X360/Disc copy only/SEALED - $5) and Test Drive Ferrari Racing Legends (X360/Sealed - $7.50) at Goodwill a few weeks ago.
Kinda off topic but is there any truth to this or anything even close? Saw it posted on FB and most of the time its fake. TIA.

So with Electronics scheduled on Monday, do they do it first thing in the morning or later in the day? Just wondering if Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning is the best time to look for Electronics clearance.

Just to set the record straight, Target does not donate these items to Goodwill. Goodwill has to pay for them.

Pricing team is gone every day by about 2pm.

I've occasionally filled in on the Price Accuracy team. Backroom generally pulls the games on Sunday night and sets them in the back. PA usually gets to them around 8 or so, maybe later. They scan them, tag them and usually let them sit in the back until an Electronics team member has time to set them.

I used to work Monday and Tuesday nights on the Salesfloor, and usually wouldn't bother checking to see if they were out until Tuesday (yes, I suppose I could pull from the back... but it's fireable to do that)

I am pretty sure it is against company policy to have ANY clearance in the back rooms. So it will all be available by around noon-2pm. And the pricing team were the ones to tag and display them on the end cap of my store. I just had to keep it organized the best possible.
Bought Batlefield Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition PS3 today for $3.04.

DPCI 207-24-0413
Nice! Have you tried using the ultimate edition codes? They should unfortunately be expired I think

I found Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance for $10.06 at a local Target. I figure it couldn't hurt to try it out.

I actually used one from an Xbox copy I bought from Amazon used, and they worked.

Found an "AS IS" :ps3: NBA 2K13 for $7.56 today. I wonder how they decide what to slap an "AS IS" sticker on as it still scans for the regular price. I had to tell the cashier that it was suppose to be cheaper because she didn't see it.

I recently found out, after never seeing anything gaming wise/electronics on mondays~tuesdays, that Targets near me clearance electronics on Fridays. That or they don't really follow a schedule, stock piles of a bunch of unmemorable things in the clearance endcaps. picked up kilo headset for 20

Found Mod Nation racers for the Vita for $14. They also had TONS of AA and AAA batteries at $2.24 for an 8 pack I think it was. No other games were on the clearance rack or on display. I've been noticing at my local target they are not clearancing as many games as they used to.

PS3 blue tooth head sets were $18.
And a bunch of DS nintendo brand accessories were on clearance too.

This is central NJ.

Just got back from two targets and Resident Evil Revelations (3DS) rang up $20 at both locations. I was able to verify Mod Nation Racers PSV at just below $14.

saw Modnation racers vita for 9.98 as reported.

Also saw Rayman origins for 20.98 for vita. (The one I picked up was mis-marked for 9.98...so I got that one)

edit: I have this game on console but I hear its worth picking it up on vita?

There's 2 amazing Spider-Man sets at my Target for $32 each, I'll probably pick one up if it falls to that price. Mostly want it for the figures.

Found titles mentioned already Rayman Origins PS3 & Resident Evil Revelations 3ds for $5.98. Also several titles seemed to be priced $10 cheaper (non clearance)....ie Hitman Absolution is now $19.99. This was at 2 locations (Meyerland & S. Main in Houston).

edit: Also at the S. Main location they had 2 Nyko 360 charging dock (2 controllers) w/ 2 batteries for $12.98 and 1 Nyko Play & Charge (Blk) for $7.98. I didn't get the DCPI #'s.

Stopped by an out of the way one and glad I did

Charlottesville, VA:
Mod Nation Racers PSV - $13.XX
Resident Evil Revelations (3DS) - $9.99

Last week I cleaned out their stock of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (3DS) for $10.60, but figured I'd mention the sale in case anyone was interested in finding the same.
