The following is all jacked from jimijumper's "The Bona-Fide Target Clearance Thread XX IS NOW CLOSED!!!" thread linked below

Previous thread:

XX

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

Find In Store

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:

Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

I am starting off this new thread going back toOctober 1st, 2012 February 2013.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

I just saw some Xbox 360 Bundles on clearance. They were the bundle with Forza and Skyrim.

Also if anyone is feeling lucky, I got my local Target to sell me The Last of Us. They tried normally but it came up as 14th release date and they couldn't sell. I acted stupid and was like Tuesday is when games come out not the 14th. Employee agreed and confirmed to his manager that it did come out today. They ended up ringing it up as Bioshock Infinite and letting me on my way

Extremely, YMMV.

Went to my Target store...they finally dropped the price of the NHL 12 for $13.68 and the Tiger Woods Golf 12 for a little higher for the PS3 (they had the Wii on clearance last year).  Also, saw the Star Wars Clone Wars DS game and Tin Tin 3DS game for $10.  But not much too find this week.

I'm waiting for people to start finding The Last of Us on clearance. It seems to happen with some random Target clearancing new games. Then people will really start flipping out.

:360: Fallout 3 GOTY / Fallout New Vegas Ultimate combo pack $17.48 [207 22 2001]

I was really tempted to get this, but thinking back on how much time I spent in Fallout 3 and the current state of my backlog, I had to pass. If it's still there after it his 70% off... that's another story.

I wonder if this is another ymmv pricing mistake this that pack wasn't released that long ago..

picked up a skylanders starter pack and a skylanders giants portal owners pack for the ps3 today. they were $20.98 and $17.98 respectively, and stacking with the $10 off w/ a preorder deal it came out to $20.96 total for the lot. not too shabby.

My wife found some super stuff today.  4 GB Vita memory cards for $3.04!!! I know its only a 4 GB card, but hey....I just got a Vita today (well yesterday now) and those will be much appreciated for the price.  She bought all the cards they had, lol.

Those cards are great if you're just saving games/applications to them. Just don't expect to download games to them.

I haven't seen a game on the PSN over 3 GB yet.... Uncharted and AC3 both like 2.6...

Remember that you also lose some of that to formatting and each one might have to have some sort of system files written to it as well. Still, if I found like four of those at that price I would live with the hassle until the 32GBs came down.

I just wish I could find my post where I found the 16GB cards on clearance for $30 like two weeks ago and passed because I wasn't getting a vita anytime soon... Want to laugh at myself.

Right. And that's exactly my logic! Haha.

that is what i was hoping for, i saw they already had it out and asked them to scan it, rang up full price though. i guess they had sold some because there was only 1 inside the case and 2 for display. i did happen to see that the skylanders giants portal owners packs (ps3) were down to $17.98, i passed but they had 2 left. this was the liberty/kansas city missouri store

if you ring up one of the preorder cards for a game for $1 those portal owner packs will come down to $8.98, thats what i did.

Found today for the Vita:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus (repackaged) - $9.61

MLB 12 The Show (online item) - $1.26

Got the last Rayman Origins for PS3 at my store for 5.98.

For the person who found Kingdoms of Amalur, do you have the DCPI? I can't quote that poster. My last post has too many quote blocks and if I try to make a new post, it'll just merge with the older one, again preventing me from quoting another block. That's really inconvenient.

Looks like I was able to make another post. Wasn't working yesterday.
I might be running to Target to try and snag Arkham City for $1 so I'll see if the tag has it on it since the ones around me still have it for $20.

Found a couple baseball games. MLB Show 12, 6 copies for $14.98 & MLB 2K12, 6 copies for $9.98. All were for PS3. I hid a copy of the show. Wait for it to drop in price.

Went trying to find the magical coupon that let's you get the highest-priced game free: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/310067-ymmv-target-coupon-b2g1-free-all-video-games/page-4

No coupon. Got a $20.98 Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack for $10.98 + $1 pre-order card. PS3 and Xbox versions were the same price. There was some Skylanders pack for Wii for $17.98, but I forget.

Debating on taking it back when I take this other coupon hunting stuff back.

Try 207240680, hope that's right.

I believe that's 75% off so going to be extremely YMMV that you'll get it cheaper.

Seeing as it's been in my store for a while and that's the 4th price drop its had in a month, I'm confident I can get it for $5 next month. But anything is possible.

Except that Target clearance generally stops at around 75% on electronics except in rare situations.

I too was searching for the elusive B2G1 coupon, didn't get it, but I did get a copy of the God of War Collection from the clearance endcap for $2.45. It was with a PC copy of LA Noir and AC: Revelations for the 360, $10 a piece.

If it drops to $5 than I guess I'm lucky. I'll check back next week. Everytime I go there it keeps on dropping so I'm confident it will get lower.

Not directly game related but found a set of PC Bose Companion 2 speakers on clearance for $49.xx today. Normally $100.

I normally game with a good set of can's, and use monitor speakers for everyday stuffs.  The Bose are solid, I was really surprised what they pumped out.  May use them more than I thought initially.

Alright, I'll give it a try. And you said you were going to try to get Arkham City for $1. Did it work? Didn't work for me today when I tried. PM'd Best Buy's $10 price and preordered Battlefield 4 and it didn't go. But the place where I tried had Arkham City's normal price at $20 and the deal works only on $40 or higher items. Perhaps another Target has it for the $40 price or perhaps Target dropped the price recently and nobody can get it for $40 anymore.
Nope, was $30 regular price at the only store in a reasonable distance and wasn't going to drive all over on a gamble.

They were on clearance at the one I went to as well but were about $80 I think.

I think the new msrp is $20 for both ps3/xbox 360 (saw that as a price drop on gamestop.com), so I wouldn't bother with that one.

My Target got rid of their clearance endcap an now has it all mixed in with the regular stuff.

The needle in the haystack hassle kills the deal.

Extremely unlikely it'll drop to $5. Target usually dumps things at Goodwill after they rot awhile at 75% off.

Just look something up on the Target website if you want the DPCI. It lists it right in the "Other info" section on any items page.

Went back to Target for that b2g1 coupon and to see what Wii Skylanders Pack the was that I saw. It was the Portal Owners Pack. Almost flipped thinking I left behind the Skylander's Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack for Wii that I could've paid $7.98 + $1 pre-order for and gave to Amazon for $30 each, lol.

No coupon, at all.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet but today, Target started a promotion where if buy any Disney game and preorder Disney Infinity (which costs $1), you get $10 off your total. Now the Target I work for (Cockeysville, MD), has Epic Mickey (DPCI 207-26-0637) for the Wii on clearance for $9.98. The promotion applies to this game also and the end total is $1.06 for the game. We have about 30 copies if anyone is interested.

Found Kinect Sports Season 2 for $2.26. Prolly gonna give it a whirl for a day or two and then trade it in since it's worth more then that.

I am having such a good day!  Found a shucked and untagged copy of Rayman for Vita, the scanner said to ask associate because it was out of the system.  She said that they were supposed to be salvage and couldn't sell it to me but I had her ask the manager and she left me have it for the last clearance price of $8.98.  Figured that sounded good when even if I managed to get someone to get one from Sam's Club and ship it to me at cost I'd still be talking at least $9.

What's this talk about getting Skylanders for $10? Do you guys get it on clearance for $18 or so and than use any pre-order card to drop it to $10?
I believe that's dead, or today's the last day if it's the same ad still, but with the system considers the normal price with these pre-order and get XX dollars off promotions. You have the gist of it though with how it works, and the card itself costs $1 making it about $20.
