Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Fightstick $13
Speaking of soldering irons, does anyone know a good place to buy breadboards from? Radio Shack just has those nonsense plug one's and the only big electronics supply place around has none.

Yeah, for the $13 it's okay for the money...
is not okay... It's amazing quality for the money... It's a good stick, not Pro quality, but the best after that.

Agreed. For $13, it's ridiculously great for a beginner, gaming or modding. The parts don't need to be replaced, and it'll work just fine.
If you really care about it having best quality parts, you should've spent the $100+ on the TE anyway.

@WuTangTurtle (and anyone else who might be able to help)

I've never modded a stick before, but I've done some research and I'm up for it. I want to put an mc cthulhu into both of the ones I bought and I want to add the imp switch and brawlpad pcb to one of those. Can I do this while still retaining the wii functionality as is? I would like to end up with two cords(usb and classic controller) and an rj45 port on both.

There's no consistency with this product in terms of buttons & joystick lever. I've bought 4 - 5 of them & some where super tight yet others were rather loose (all were purchased brand new) so I can see where you're coming from. However, I'm going to disagree about the overall poor construction. All of the one's I bought had good quality control & felt fine but perhaps you got a bad one.

That Chinese adapter (Mayflash) works just fine regardless of price. I've never heard of issues with it but then again I haven't read recent reviews on Amazon.
The build quality as of the casing and stuff is really good. I am happy with my $13 purchase as it's amazing for the money. I mean where else are you gonna find a $13 stick.

I guess I just want to throw official sanwa parts in it and a MC Cthulhu because I want this stick to last me a good 4-5 years at least. I am sure the stock parts in it and the mayflash adapter are fine, but it's just piece of mind for me. I don't really buy fightsticks, and at $13 it's a good stick to start with. That and I can say I have done it .

I agree especially about the if you want the best then you should've purchaed a $100+ stick anyway although I prefer Hori over Madcatz for high-end sticks.

PITA to do but not impossible. I had Gummo do it for me since that's even over my head, LOL! Checkout these links depending on if you care that all PCB's will be turned on all the time or not. As in, draining the WiiMote:

I can't blame you for wanting piece of mind. If taken care of then it'll last beyond 5-years but each case varies obviously. I got lucky & found one another one near Austin, Tx & one of my homies happens to live nearby. He's gonna give it to me when he comes back in town here soon.

Got one two days ago. Had to travel 30 miles to get it. So I had to put about $12 in gas in my truck for the trip so I paid about $26 with tax if you count gas. But it was worth it to me. It also works with Smash Bros Brawl.

Also, there is a SF4 Xbox stick for $39.99.

Those WWE branded sticks are pretty damn nice for $20 as well. I posted that thread a couple months ago so good luck finding them but if you can grab. I bought both PS3 and 360, they work on PC as well only gripe is that the PS3 doesn't work on PS2 games on my BC system. That's half the reason I wanted that stick for my PS2 shmups.

Won't work on PS2 games? No shit? Which PS3 system do you have, one of the originals or one with software emulation? I bought mine to use on the SF Alphas and SF Collections on my PS2. Damn if that's true!!

Man I wish there was one close to me. I always wanted an arcade stick but I'm not willing to spend lots of money for one

80gb and 4 USB one from the original Motorstorm bundle I think it's software BC. I have the stick as the only controller attached but when it goes into PS2 mode it doesn't detect it, I googled and it's not just me.
Ended up driving a bit over an hour and got one. Two GSs two hours away have them and I kind of want a second one know.
Decisions, decisions....

My wife's pastor lives near them, so I might have her call him up and ask hin to grab one for me.
Sorry but for some reason that blew my mind haha. Too many questions, I wouldn't even know where to start.
a lil bit OT, but I'm looking for a solid and not super expensive arcade stick for the PS3. Any ideas?
Are you familiar with Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD)? The thread is usually on the first page of this forum. Amazon sells products ranging from used-good to used-like new. The Hori Soul Calibur V stick is already discounted at $99.99 new through Amazon. But Amazon Warehouse Deals sells it used - like new for only $74.99

I bought the ps3 Hori Soul Calibur V used like new and it came in mint condition. It didn't even seem like the box had been opened before. It uses all sanwa parts, and is fantastic.

I must have gotten the WWE(ps3) 1 when you posted it. Got the Wii stick @ $16, then $13. Looks like they're not coming off of the site till all of their stores are sold out of them!
Yup, MSA won't work with anything (Classic Controller Pro & any sticks) other than the WiiMote which is downright silly.
This isn't true at all. It works with GameCube controllers.

Huh? My wife goes to church. Her pastor lives down there and could get one and bring it to church and give to her to give to me. I don't go to the church often because I am an atheist. She drags me there every now and then.
I don't see where the questions would come from.

After this post I think I agree with the other guy. Atheist but you go to church?
I use this for my PS3 and it works great, but be aware that the button assignment is really strange, and you can only have access to 6 buttons when the stick is set for d-pad. See this thread on shoryuken about button mappings and modes.
Does this work for the 360 as well?
Can this stick be modded to play PS3/360 as well?
On the PS3 easily with this:

I was going to suggest AWD also. But aware once in a while you'll get a lemon thru AWD but you can always return it hassle free.
I read that this works: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-Wi...t=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item416829b7b2
Yup, works pretty well besides what you stated.
This isn't true at all. It works with GameCube controllers.
My bad, I meant if you wanted to use an arcade stick that's connected to the WiiMote but thanks for the clarification.
Does this work for the 360 as well?
You'd have to hack it & depending on your soldering skills it can be very easy or difficult.

Slight OT: If anyone's interested in a Hori Real Arcade Pro V3-SA (Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 edition; PS3 only) then PM me. Mint condiion & less than 15-mins of usage to verify everything works. Amazon sells it for $150 & I'm selling for $120 shipped or $100 local pickup. Thanks!
