TEAM USA BASKETBALL LOST.... oh what a travesty
In case you didn't see it , Team USA Lost AGAIN this time to Lithuiana 94-90 mostly by some MAJOR 3 pt. bombs and sick perimeter shooting, one of the many things Team USA sorely lacks....Now question remains, Will they even medal?
No we can't blame it on lacking 3 point shooting but FREE THROWS, which I think every player should be able to make with regularity correct?
from cnnsi
"The Americans gave their best all-around performance of these Olympics and led for most of the game, but they missed 11 of 33 foul shots to allow Lithuania to stay close"

11 of 33? did Shaq join the team and shoot every FT?

Well Mr. Burns I did say ONE of the MANY THINGS, didn't I... so Free Throws included as well. I don't remember seeing Lithuiana missing more than one in the entire 4th quarter.

also don't fail to give other countries credit.. backin the early 90's other countries were trying to catch up to the level of the US.... back then the US was leagues ahead of everybody... Take a look now,, the nba looks overseas for talent . And there is plenty of Foriegn talent in the Nba now. Also countries have put more money in hoops and have greatly developed players and teams.

With all the said though... its still an amercian sport.. so you would figure the Americans would dominate it ... like canada and russia have in hockey. Still the best nba players (which aren't this current team) would beat anybody in the world.

give me shaq, jason kidd, ray allen , timmy dunncan (yes i know he is on the current team) and ben wallace.... they would beat anybody. obviously there are others that defintely qualify,, but not freakin richard jefferson,
