since there's not much hype for sequel to this awesome gem called Test Drive Unlimited i made this official thread

game will feature:
more than 2000 miles of roads on Ibiza island(also full Oahu island from the first game may be unlockable in the sequel),
175 SUVs, buggies, sport cars, bikes etc.,
dynamic weather effects,
day & night cycles,
vehicle damage,
co-op mode,
leveling system simillar to NFS: Shift,
new physics engine,
vinyl-editor and tunning simillar to that from Forza Motorsport series,
home, yacht and night club customization(after you bought them of course),
99 houses, clubs and yachts to buy,

I'm slightly interested... Probably give it a rental though, the first one i found just 'alright' .. in the end i would have preferred to play Test Drive 2 instead.
 
I liked the first one so I might give this a try once I can get it for around 20 bucks. I enjoyed how you could buy classic cars but I hated how you had to buy houses to store them.
 
I sinked in a lot of hours into the first one. I am going to "break the budget! YAWR!" for this one. I just don't know when I'll get it, but I will get it for sure.

Hopefully they tighten the racing controls and give us more to do outside of racing and those god annoying escort and courrier missions.
 
I loved the first one despite the fact that it, along with Dead Rising, seemed to basically kill my first 360. I will be on board with this sequel on day 1.
 
The first one was basically this -
You fly in, rent a car and get to buy your first place. After that you participate in races (against the computer for money, then when you get a ton of cash you could race others for money) and just drive around exploring the island. There were also some very annoying escort and delivery missions which basically had you losing if you bumped anyone or even went off the road for a few seconds. Basically a open world driving game like GTA I would guess.

The new one is supposed to give you more options for owning places, clubs and what not and improve on car handling and give you options to do off road driving (the first one was pretty much impossible to really drive off the road, outside of the obvious racing short cuts where u could cut across the woods and beat your computer opponent lol). I also heard you could walk out of your car and roam around, but I've seen no indication in the trailer yet.

The reason I loved Test Drive Unlimited was because you had one big ass island to explore, could race pretty much anywhere and just goof around in general. I was supposed to get more into club racing but most of my friends were too busy playing other games.

They also had a nice system where you could buy other players car via a eBay "Buy it now!" market place letting you pretty much own every car as long as you had the cash.
 
The first game was a very unique and under appreciated racing title, so I'm definitely going to check this one out.
