Test your knowledge: Guess that video game cover.

[quote name='zionoverfire']Well I'm still not sure about the first one, but the psx set was quite easy.[/quote]

Except that you missed number 2.

[quote name='nachzeher']Actually the third one was the easiest. I knew the color scheme.[/quote]

I am impressed. I was trying to figure a way for the third one to be Kirby.

I am pretty sure you are right about all three.

Yep nachzeher got all 3. I'm surprised he got Go Go

Considering I don't have a GC, I'm impressed I got Go Go. But i've always seen it at local stores and it looked like a cool game. So I could recall the color scheme of the box.

Alrighty - here's another set for a slow Sunday evening. I like jimbodan's way, but I'm terrible at those (I only guessed two out of all of them posted!) so I'm going to try another way suggested.

I'm thinkin' at least one of them will be a challenge. Another 1 or 2 should be somewhat easy.

Remember, put your answers in a spoiler tag. Copy and paste the code below, replace Game 1, etc with your answers and then post. The text will be slightly brighter when previewing your message - don't worry, it will be fine when you post.

Code:
[color=#545454]
Game 1
Game 2
Game 3... etc
[/color]

Here they are:

C'mon people - post some of your own! Disguise them however you see fit!

Enjoy-

I thought the first one might be somewhat rough - here's a small hint. Highlight the next few lines if you want to see it. If this isn't enough, I'll post another hint in a while.

It's a fighting game. The license it was based off of was popular for a while but was another type of game.

I'm probably way late (didn't want to read the thread before postisg as I figured I'd see the answers)

but my guesses (for the OP) are Dr. Muto, DOA Extreve Beach Volleyball, Vexx.

Yeah, you are a bit late, but welcome to the party. You got 2 of them right, btw.

Game 1: Golden Axe: The Duel
Game 2: Tetris DX
Game 3: Final Doom
Game 4: Guilty Gear Isuka

The only one I got on my own was #1, thanks to the hint.

Sorry guessed - I for one, can't keep it going until at least next Wednesday. Takin' a little trip to Hawaii for Christmas Vacation. Once I return, I'll probably add a few more if there is still interest. Though... I leave at 6am Friday. Maybe I'll sneak a few in Thursday before I leave.

This game reminds me of something I used to play a long time ago...A game some co-workers and I used to play... We were all Testers at a game company about 11 years ago and we came up with our version of Jeopardy. One guy would be Trebek, and he would use the game we were working on (in this case, it was Fun N' Games... a mario paint type game for the genesis/snes) to mock up a score board. The guys I used to work with were diverse, considering there were only 5 of us. I knew video games, another new sports, and two others knew music. The questioner (i.e. Trebek) knew a bit of everything and would come up with the questions for us in appropriate categories.

The first thing that came to mind when I put up this simple game were those good times we spent goofing off to our version of Jeopardy. Of course I dominated the video game questions, but was schooled in everything but. Playing essentially the same game now gives me that warm fuzzy flashback feeling.

And your answer to game#1 is correct. I imported it for my Saturn, had fun for a day, then went back to Xmen:CotA. Ah the 2d fighter hayday.
