Um, I don't think so... what about Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons.
 
oh right. i forgot about those (I never had a gameboy color). But for some reason the 2D Zelda look just seems more timeless. We've had quite a few of those in the past 15 years and they all look pretty similar and never get old. But with 3D games and the competitive graphics market it seems like they should evolve more.
 
Yeah, the new Zelda looks great. It's going to kick major butt! Gamecube seems to be having a good showing at the E3 so far. Keep it up!

Aw! They cancelled WW2 for this? On the one hand, I don't know where they were going to go after it with Ganon dead and Hyrule still flooded, but at the same time I hate the thought of all the people who bitched about the cel shading getting what they want. They should get punished, not rewarded.
 
The true form is the way he looked like in LoZ. Then the model was evolved to AoL and later on to AlttP look. The AlttP look is the closest to what Link has almost alwas looked and TWW look was very close to AlttP look.

This new look which is similar to OOT and MM look is just another look, and definately the true look. Though we could say that all Link models have been a true look, so basically you're right.

Anyway, personally I like the cel-shaded and AlttP lookthe best, but I can live with this new look as well.
 
yea i loved windwaker . if it had the right elements, such as the ones in OOT . it could have been great, which it was but not as good as OOT and people just seemed to rag on the cellshaded look when i didnt really see anything wrong with it, oh well, give the people what they want i guess . make some $$$, i just want some GCNs to sell and people to see what a good system it is
 
Just can't let this thread die. I just got Wind Waker and while it's an enjoyable game so far, I'd gladly trade in the kiddie stuff for some bad-ass, but-kicking, new style link.

Anybody got any more info, rumors, speculation, or ANYTHING on this game?
