I don't know about them, but they've really been jumping on the Bob Seger bandwagon the last few weeks. I know that he has stuff going on now, and that he's from Detroit... I don't even have anything against Seger... it's just that you heard nothing about him for years, and then in the course of a week they had him all over local radio, local new broadcasts, local newspapers, etc.

It's just a tempory case of overexposure sickness.

eminem is very bad. kid rock is far worse, possibly the absolute worst. all these morons have been tricked into thinking that kid rock is some new bob seger-esque singer, along the lines of lynyrd skynyrd or something. kid rock is nothing but some loser who used to have vanilla ice hair that somehow duped all the morons into buying his garbage that's passed off as music. the existence of kid rock's music makes the world a far worse place.

as far as detroit music is concerned, i'm sick of the von bondies and the dirtbombs and the cobras. well guess what kids, these bands suck. the von bondies are to the white stripes as soul asylum is to pearl jam or soundgarden or whoever else.

and that new d12 song? my friend and i heard it the other day, and she said "he could crap into a microphone and everyone would buy it." well, i would like to correct that statement: this new song is him defecating into a microphone and calling it music. and the best part is everyone IS buying it.

I don't know, but he seems to be about average 5'10 or so. I remember during the VMAs when he performed 'the Real Slim Shady' he had all these Eminem clones surrounding him. deminski and doyle are pretty good. usually. i remember when they first came here a few years ago, and it took some getting used to, but they grow on you.

and yes, detroit radio does suck. everyone loves WDET, but i've never really been impressed with them. but when it comes to music, that station is far better than any other, including the station that says they are "your new rock alternative" right before they play "sabotage" by the beastie boys.

Of course, I guess one couldn't include 89X in Detroit radio, since it is technically a Winsor radio station. Any problems with that station have to be taken up with the Canadiens.

True, but if ya listen sometimes, they dont censor it all the time. Like on the weekends, if you listen, all the songs will be uncensored in the earleir morning(about 8-10 AM). I heard Freak On A Leash by Korn uncensored and I was lke WTF!?

But personally, I Listen to the WRIF. btw i got a question: Which DJ was it that left the WRIF? I was listening when he said he was leaving and moving somewhere else for another job, but couldnt catch who it was.
