You know, I am getting sick of the Lakers being good. They are actually making me think that they could win it. On the bright side it will make their break down in the play offs even more hilarious. Damn.

As for NBA I actually dont have a solid team even though I support all Tennessee based teams the Grizzles.....or well.....the fucking Grizzles.

So I am more a fan of just plan good basketball other than the Laker since I hate them so much.
How do you not have a favorite team? You sound like a post Jordan era Bulls fan.

I dont know why actually. I just dont for basketball..just like I dont for soccer. I follow all teams and catch most games. I love both sports (actually I love soccer above all else) so I am just excited to see different players.

I do know teams I hate, Lakers and Spurs but for all else its all good. Hell I only really dislike the Lakers because one of my best friends would always be them every time we played live 95..96..97..98..99..etc etc. All those years of vs and loosing close games just makes me hate them.

The truth comes out!

The only team I can't stand is the Spurs. I've been a Lakers fan since I was old enough to get in to it (mid-Magic era). Beyond that, I tend to favor teams with players I like to watch, for example the Blazers with Roy and Aldridge, and the Hornets with Paul.
The wheels are really coming off in Phoenix. We got massacred in Boston, then lost to the Knicks, and now the Bobcats are kicking our ass. Words can't describe how much I hate Terry Porter as a coach.
Yeah it has been tough lately!!! At least the Celtics are a good team.

Being a Suns fan I dislike the Lakers, but hate the Spurs. So I guess that is something Lakers/Suns fans can agree on!

Brandon Roy got 10 steals against the Wizards last night, which is apparently the most any player has logged in a single game this season. Roy also joined Clyde Drexler and Larry Steele in the tie for the Blazers' franchise record for the most in a single game.

Huge win for the Lakers today, as they win 99-85 over the Spurs. When you throw in their big win over Cleveland- and before anyone says Cleveland had players hurt, so did LA- they are definitely the best team in the league right now.

Apparently, DirecTV had a free preview of NBA League Pass from January 19-25. Tonight during the Lakers game was the first I have heard of it... 2 days after the offer ended.

Speaking of the Lakers, they've cut the deficit but are still down 49-48 to the Bobcats at halftime. I had no idea Juwan Howard played for Charlotte until tonight.

Nope, I posted about it you must of just missed it. Suns traded Diaw, Bell, and rookie Sean Singletary for Jared Dudley and Jason Richardson.

I think J-Rich is great, I miss Bell though. Diaw is a bit annoying because he is finally playing the way he should of been when he was with the Suns (that being, playing aggressively)

When the Lakers trade Kobe.

Suns have already expressed they want him to retire playing for the Suns... whether that is his decision remains to be seen.

Just hope Mason doesn't make a 3 pointer at the buzzer to win the game, like I had to see at the Christmas game... that shit still hurts.

Looks like the game is on TNT tonight at 10:30 EST for those interested. Suns really need to shine tonight to restore some confidence , as they were spanked on national television by the Celtics.

I watched the Bulls/Clippers game on the DVR. I'll take any opportunity to watch the Bulls play, and those opportunities will be in the single digits this season since they're rarely ever on national TV and they only play LA teams maybe 4 times a year total.

Luol Deng came out hot with something like 13 of the team's first 16 points. Midway through the first, Baron Davis and Marcus Camby made their returns. "Uh oh", I thought. The game was incredibly close throughout the first half, but the Bulls broke it wide open in the 3rd quarter and never looked back, winning by 20. Deng finished with 23, and D-Rose put up 21.

Also, in regards to the flagrant 1 elbow by Andrew Bynum on Gerald Wallace the other day- apparently Gerald Wallace has not just a cracked rib, but a collpased lung. I love the Lakers and all, but that was a dick move by Bynum in the first place and, given the results, he should be suspended for a game.

Bynum's on the Lakers.....that's why he didn't get suspended....if Bynum was on the Bucks? at least a 3 game suspension....

Met Roger Mason Jr. last night at the Lil Wayne concert....cool dude...was with Kurt Thomas...
LOL Charlotte beat L.A. ! I still can't get over that, on their home court too!:rofl::rofl:
For some reason, the Lakers still can not solve Charlotte. They always lose to them everytime I see them play. But Charlotte Bobcats is a good team though now that Larry Brown coaches.

Celtics @ Pistons tonight on ESPN. This is a potential future playoff match-up, so get out your popcorn and whatever drink you may have, and get ready to watch the Boston Celtics kick some Detroit ass.

I'm glad I got to see the T-Wolves last night for the first time, but the game was kind of boring. Lakers/Grizzlies and Bulls/Suns are both on TV tonight. The former should be a blowout. The latter will hopefully be a good game.

The Lakers vs T-Wolves game yesterday was kinda good in my opinion especially kobe's shooting which was impressive. Ill be checking out the Bulls/Suns game tonight

Oh yes, I'm very happy right now to see the Bulls sweep the Suns (Bulls won 122 - 111). :D Good day for me since Purdue and Chicago Bulls won their basketball games. :)

I'm going to bet yukine won't read this post. ;)

Why wouldn't I read it? I watched the game.

Good game for the most part, Suns were pissing me off when they had plenty of chances to tie it up or take the lead and then start turning the ball over. Rose was good, but how about Barbosa! He was pretty the much the only Suns player getting things done (Grant was awesome as well though)
Well, you know I'm a pretty big Bulls fan, and since I made a post in this thread after the game against your Suns, I figured you knew it was a celebration post by me. :)

Although I'll admit I didn't fully watch the game. I watched the first quarter, part of the third, and towards the end. I had a CAG Gaming night going on I couldn't miss.

The Lakers and Bulls both won. The Lakers, rather than build a big lead and surrender it as usual, trailed in the first half and came back to win big. The Bulls did what the Lakers usually do, but didn't fully give up their lead, winning in Phoenix by a healthy margin. If the Bulls played like this every night, they'd be in a very good spot.

I think Bynum will be okay. He'll miss a few games; nothing serious.

Kobe has 34 in the first half against the Knicks. And I forgot to edit my fantasy lineup to put Kobe in. Fun game to watch so far.

Bynum being out for 8 weeks won't be the death knell that some are predicting. Look how far the Lakers went without him last year. And he will be back in time for the playoffs.

8-12 weeks. That's what they said last year. I know it's a different injury, but this is just disappointing.

Seriously, and didn't it happen around the same time?
Seriously, and didn't it happen around the same time?
almost around the same time.. Wow, walking to my dorm from class to hear 8-12 weeks. What bad news

But the Lakers did very well against the knicks. Kobe scoring 61 points!! :applause:

Wow, what a bad day in the NBA yesterday...

Chris Paul getting injured vs the P. Trailblazers. A MRI indicated that Paul had only a mild strain of his right groin and he is listed as day-to-day. But might miss a couple of games.

Jameer Nelson is optimistic he can play again this season for the Orlando Magic, despite a torn labrum in his right shoulder. If he has surgery, his season is probably over. If not, he'll likely still miss several weeks.

Wow, if this is the preview of the Boston/LA Championship we should just start wearing the jerseys of the refs. They are getting more face time than the players.

These calls are horrid.

Wow, these calls are simply horrid. Man, the NFL and the NBA have the worst officials in all of sports.

LAKER WIN!!! 2-0 !!!

Look I dislike the Lakers but this is far from just not wanting them to win.

The NBA (and the NFL more and more) need to do something about the refs in their leagues. As dafoomie as stated there are simply to many god damn times where the Refs are deciding the outcome of games instead of the players.

Although I am not a fan of any one basketball team I am in love with the game and the shit that has been happening for the last couple years is not basketball, its a mockery of what the game used to be.

Honestly I am really starting to not enjoy watching this crap anymore.

officiating was going both ways. Especially when a couple of Celtics players hit the basketball out of bounds.

Kobe with the clutch 3 pointers at the end to tie it up was cold blooded :applause:

Good Job LAKERS! Snapped the Celtics win streak and will get home court on the Celtics in the playoffs

kobe.jpg

One of the best defensive game I've seen all year from both team, this is going to do good for the Lakers confidence, especially doing this without Bynum.

And please, if complaining about referees is not a legitimate excuse in Game 2 of the NBA Finals for Laker fans, it sure as hell isn't a legitimate excuse in a regular season game for Celtic fans.

This only determines homecourt if Lakers and Celtics end up with the same record.

No laCker fan should EVER bring up bad officiating.

Game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals vs. the Kings as the worst officiated game in the history of any sport. I still have nightmares at that BS excuse of a game.

The game was good last night, but a lot of people are jumping the gun with this repeat talk of Lakers and Cs in the Finals. I would love to see it again, but i wouldn't count out the Orlando Magic, once Nelson is better again they will be ready to go. Also LBJ is hungry for that ring. I admit the West is looking pretty one-sidded right now. So its Lakers vs Magic, Celtics or Cavs.

Sidenote: I hope the heat just make the playoffs :/

You know, this is why I really dislike Lakers fans and not to bash anyone in this thread. They are seemingly the most 2 faced fans in the league. So easily they forget that during their 3 year run Shaq was allowed to do everything short of stabbing someone on the court. Hell the foul would most likely be called on the opposing player anyway.

They played well during those times but they were basically handed 3 championships when you let the most dominate big man in modern times shoulder charge and elbow everyone in his path on the way to traveling 4 times for a dunk.

In honestly Lakers fan should shut their mouths if the topic of officials ever comes up beacuse more than anyone your team has benefited the most from horrid refs.

And lets not forget this play in the Boston/Blazer game where the refes missed that the Blazers had 6 players on the court and still let the basket stand.

lmao at the 6 players ...how the hell do the coaches, players or at least the refs not realize they had 6 players on the dam court.

I love me some NBA but I agree the Refs absolutely suck ass. I'm a Houston Rocket fan ...and dam if they have no idea how to officiate Yao.Every game you never know what is going to happen. He might get 2 fouls in two minutes of the first quarter for defending people the same way he does night in and night out, and all the while every game he is constantly getting hacked, cut and bruised by every 4 or 5 on the opposing team. Trust me I've never seen a player bleed or get scratched as much as him, and still not get a dam call.

At the least if your going to make bad calls do them CONSISTENTLY, not at your whim based on the homecourt advantage or the score/time left / NBA superstar in question. And 'traveling' no longer exists we might as well delete from the guidelines.
