Great play by Noah...great play.

To be honest.....its probably a good thing that Paul is out of the game. He is killing the C's offense right now.

That was the laziest drive ever from Paul, he had the open shot...and a open lane and he jogged over and made a pass that a Ray Charles could see coming.

Pierce has been horrid this game in my opinion. He looks plain tired. He has spent most of the game resting in a post up position with his back to the basket watching the the time tick off then taking a bad shot or trying to pass it with no time left.

This loss (I assume with 20 seconds left) is Rondo and Pierce fault and no one else. Everyone else on the team stepped up while both of them have been kinda in cruise control.

C stands for a lot of things in Boston but Clutch doesnt seem to be one of them.

EDIT: Rondo? What the fuck man? You finally decide to attack the basket so you get half way and try to shoot a fade away?
Hinrich missed that layup so the refs let him throw Rondo to the ground after that block by Rose.
Yeah, that was after the goaltend by Rondo, so hey, fair's fair, right?:) See you in Boston.

Yeah, that goaltend where Rondo never touched the ball (though he tried very hard to gift those points to him). Didn't somebody get a flagant 1 earlier for throwing Hinrich to the ground? Congrats, you'll be this year's Atlanta Hawks in a couple days.

Whats with the victory song? Chicago Bulls: One damn good bier.

Jesus tittyfucking Christ. The Bulls did everything they could to try to throw that game away, eh? But before I get to the positives, I must say this- I am not one to criticize the officiating, and I think the refs are good 95% of the time. They were good for 99% of this game, too. But after the officiating played a huge part in costing the Bulls the last game, they almost got fucked in this one, too. That 6th foul call on Gordon was one of the worst I have ever seen.

That being said, Celtics fans should be lining up to suck Ray Allen's dick tonight. He was unbelievable, and was pretty much the sole reason there was even any overtime to begin with. Great game from him. John Salmons looked amazing for the Bulls, and Brad Miller was clutch.

What a great game and series. I just hope game 7 is more of the same, and not at all similar to Boston/Atlanta game 7 from last year.
Hinrich missed that layup so the refs let him throw Rondo to the ground after that block by Rose.
Well, there was no call when Glen Davis nearly knocked out Lindsey Hunter, which was much more blatant.

Look. Here is what I have to say about the series.

This match up to be is really not that exciting because of this reason. Its doesnt seem to me like 2 teams clawing at each other to win. It seems more like 2 mediocre teams that are fucking horrid at closing. You are not getting these overtimes because both teams are good but because both teams are simply lost at the end of games.

Both teams did everything they could to lose that game. It was actually kinda painful to watch. Other than Allen and Salmons.

Rondo and Pierce looked horrid tonight. Watching Pierce "rest" in the high post all game was pathetic as well as watching Rando hang around the 3 point line the entire game watching Allen run around the court.

The bulls to me didnt played well but they just dont have that "it" factor it seems.

That's why it's exciting. It's really not a match up of good plays, it's really a match up of how many bad plays at the wrong time they'll do.

Its incredible that the Bulls have been able to win 3 games in this series. This is easily some of the shittiest officiating I have ever seen. I wasn't too surprised when the officiating was garbage in Boston but it has been garbage in Chicago too. The Bulls players keep getting raped in the paint and it never gets called. Rondo can somehow get the foul call every fucking time he drives. And lets not forget the hundreds of illegal screens that Perkins and Davis NEVER get called on.

You cant be fucking serious here? Dont even start. That game was called as fairly as any game has been called in the last 10 years.

Both teams had multiple players foul out. Role players as well as superstars had an equally chance at fouling out this game. They reviewed calls, they stuck to their guns from the tip off to the last shot. You cant ask any more from the Refs.

People just find stuff to bitch about. The refs were fine through out the entire game.

Dude, did you actually watch the game? Did you not see all of the illegal screens from Perkins and Davis? Did you not see the Bulls players driving to the lane and getting nailed and ending up on the floor? Only a Celtics fan could think that officiating was fair.

LOL, Greg Oden misses a easy 2 hand slam.

He is by far the worst franchise player in the league, he is just laughably bad.

Yeah, I saw that. I also saw Brad Miller grabbing players as he was trying to screen. I saw Noah holding players when boxing out.

You have superstars on both teams fouling out, yet the first thing you say after the game is that the refs were biased. It has become a cliche now. Its play off basketball people are going to get knocked around...you dont like it? Go watch baseball so you dont have to see your precious players get pushed around.

3 Key Celtics players fouled out yet the refs were still out to get the bulls right?

I am the very first to rip on a ref but when they do a good job regulating the a game you cant turn around and cry just beacuse you dont like seeing your players getting pushed around. They are big boys I am sure they can handle it.
I think even reasonable Blazers fans have thrown in the towel in terms of hoping for Oden to be great.
Just think if they would have got Kevin Durant. You can alway pick up a 7ft pair of shoes if you just need a body out their to suck up easy rebounds.

I can only imagine how teams would try to play against Roy and Durant on the court at the same time. :whistle2:#

Ummm......obviously you are not the first to rip on a ref when you actually think they did a good job tonight. Yes the Bulls got away with a few calls. But there is something wrong when every time the Bulls got away with a call, the Celtics got away with 5 calls. I'm sorry you can't recognize terrible officiating.

Sigh, More stupid fan talk.

K-Perk, Pierce, Davis foul out.

HOLY SHIT ONE FEWER FOULS CALLED FOR THE C'S!!!! Call the god damn commish the games are fixed!

The refs were fine, you are just being a dumbass. Also, I love the fact I am am accused of being a fan of any team that is currently winning. Blazers fans think I am a Rockets fan, Jazz fans thought I was a Lakers fan, Pistons fans thought I was a Cavs fan.

It just shows how ridiculously most of the statements some of you make.

I have said this a million time, I am not a fan of any 1 basketball team. I simply do not have a favorite team I just really enjoy the game of basketball.

dafoomie made me spit my beer everywhere with
"...He was fatter last year. He works out like a machine but he goes home and eats 3 boxes of Ho Ho's, Ding-Dong's, Yodels, and Cupcakes with his 5 pizzas.

I used to live near the Celtics training facility, the guy doesn't know the meaning of the word nutrition..."

For some reason I got this mental image of Shaq eating like 9 big macs to the tune on Nom Nom Nom...

Well good game Bulls

Now let's all see if Portland can pull through...

Damn, did I accidentally type in gamefaqs instead of cheapassgamer.com? This is the type of irrational fan arguments I expect to see there... It should be interesting if we see the same type of BS when the Cavs and Lakers get into competitive series later on.

If anyone thinks the Celtics are getting the better of the crappy officiating now, just wait till you meet LeBron. He gets fewer fouls called on him than any other star player in his position.

Too bad for the Blazers, they have one of the more entertaining and promising young teams in the NBA. They do need a PG solution and another good big guy. That said, I've always liked Yao Ming so hopefully the Rockets can keep going.

I never understood why Jerryd Bayless didn't get more playing time then he did.
I never understood why Jerryd Bayless didn't get more playing time then he did.
Because he shoots 37% from the field and played at Arizona as a combo/shooting guard and PG is not his natural position (he himself said he hasn't played PG since 8th grade)

I expect more PT for Bayless next season, but he has to earn it.

There was a week or two in March where Nate McMillan benched Sergio Rodriguez in favor of giving Jerryd more time, but he blew the opportunity through poor shooting and lackluster PG play, so the PT went back to Sergio.

I'm sure if Portland wasn't a playoff team he would've seen more playing time and could possibly have seen similar numbers to say, Russel Westbrook who had an amazing rookie season.

There's been some terrible officiating in this series (like when Ray Allen fouled out), but last night was not it.

My.....god. You are absolutely right. Wow thank you for opening my eyes. I now understand that the officiating was outstanding. Actually, it appears the Celtics got screwed over since they had 3 players foul out of the game. I'm glad there are people like you soodmeg to help less educated fans of basketball like myself understand how it works clearly. You truly are a lifesaver. I thought the Bulls were screwed over but now I clearly see it was the Celtics that the refs were out to get.

/endsarcasm

You are calling me a dumbass and THIS is what you use for your argument? So in your eyes the number of fouls called on each team being practically even means that the game was officiated well. How can I argue with this sound logic. Man, I feel like I am arguing with a fucking brick wall here. Actually that is doing a diservice to brick walls.

If Big Baby sets one legal screen in this entire series I will shit my pants. He either moves his feet mid screen or throws his shoulder at the defender every single time. He really needs to learn how to set proper screens, although if the refs allow it then I guess he shouldn't change a thing.
Are you really comparing Bayless to Westbrook? LOL
Not really. Westbrook is my favorite rookie of the bunch. Though Derrick Rose is showing why he is far and beyond the Rookie of the Year.

I'm just saying, if Bayless got the similar playing time to Westbrook (35 min?) and Portland was not a playoff team, he COULD'VE had similar numbers.

Bayless was Summer League MVP and averaged 38 points per game during it.

But because Portland had 54 wins, and Steve Blake and Sergio Rodriguez, Bayless' playing time is all gone.

But right now, Westbrook > > > > > > Bayless. In the future, it could be: Westbrook = Bayless. (MAYBE)

I think the point is that the officiating was equally shitty on both sides of the ball and that they are not biased towards a team. He didn't say the officiating was good, he just said it was even. No one can argue that the officiating in the NBA is absolutely terrible, but to claim its biased seems to be the purview of the one-team fan.

...I can't believe I'm standing up for Soodmeg

A game can be well officiated and have one team have way more foul calls than another, the number of foul calls doesn't matter. If one team is more physical than another, driving to the lane more ect., then that team should get more foul calls. The Celtics having one more foul than the Bulls doesn't mean jack in the argument of the officiating.

I hear what you are saying. The problem is that he said the officiating was as fair as any he has seen in the last 10 years. He has basically implied that the officiating was good. He also seems to be basing his argument off of the fact that an even number of fouls were called on both teams, which means absolutely nothing about the quality of officiating.

Derrick Rose is a beast, that block I can't think of any other player (besides maybe Bron or Howard) could get up that HIGH and time it perfectly like that....

Dwayne Wade goes for 40+ and hits the game winner to beat the Hawks tonight.

Nah, I think Wade will score 60+ and they'll lose by 10 because his team won't show up again and the Hawks will ;)

Wade's getting knocked around trying to carry the team, but they gotta put in work too

Pick one and you're right either way:
1. He plays for Boston
2. The NBA doesn't want to mess up a good thing.

I'm surprised the NBA didn't take action with either one. They like the ratings and like the amount of media attention the series is getting. To discipline one player but not the other would only bring more fire down upon the league. So they decided to discipline neither one and let perhaps the greatest 1st round series in recent history go on as planned.

Is you ask me, Rondo should be reprimanded some way, through a fine or something. To let him get away with that hack at Brad Miller AND throwing Kirk Hinrich into the scorer's table is a bit much.

But at the same time, Kirk had as much to do with it too, its a tough call. But the NBA loves ratings and money so they leave it alone and let both players leave it out on the floor.

LOL. Yeah. I saw that at Deadspin.

I thought Portland's announcers were homers.

They straight up dissed Von Wafer last night saying: "Von Wafer here just stepped into our camera shot. He's always wanted to be on a Blazers broadcast but was on the bench all last season"

Of course Rondo should get some kind of reprimand, I love how Diaw and Stoudemire were suspend for LEAVING THE BENCH and in this, nothing is being done. I guess Suns/Spurs just don't bring in the dough.
