Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.

LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

With how cheap you could get series x, pretty sure the majority of people came out ahead.
I think I paid like $350 locally with extra controller and games, sold the games so it was more or less $300.
Console was 2 months old(at the time) and still had warranty.

I am so happy I pulled the trigger on a new one this week. I got~ $450 from GS and then paid roughly the same for a new one (employee discount) so I could get a new warranty. I was considering waiting for a sale but now I’m just glad prices didn’t go up.

And now we see why Microsoft pushed the "everything is an Xbox campaign."

They're absolutely giving zero cares about their hardware and pushing that Game Pass, brother.
It makes sense. Let other people deal with hardware, inventory, tariffs, and just focus on subscriptions and sweet sweet licensing fees.

We've entered the phase of price gouging the inelastic demand customers. means you truly don't care about growth on your consoles anymore.

We're not likely to see a new Xbox next generation. Microsoft will push GamePass on PC as being their main front, with releasing ways to play GamePass on more devices. But in that time, we'll likely see Steam and Epic come up with a similar method and slowly push Microsoft into a corner. Sony will go even harder for PS+ streaming too making it even harder for Microsoft who has the less amount of exclusives (currently) to even support people staying on that platform.
