I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I was in store today and someone traded in street fighter 6 for the switch 2 right before me.

So I picked up :
Doom Dark Ages PS5
Phantasy star online GameCube (CIB)
Street fighter 6

However one thing I didn’t realize is street fighter 6 had all the year 1 and 2 fighters as a code - it was already redeemed by the previous owner so I took the L on that one. Only the vanilla street fighter 6 is on the cart…(even as a game key card…)

I was trying to put in a b2g1 free order but the sales tax wasn't calculating correctly. The b2g1 just ended and the amount of sales tax in my cart actually went down a few $ despite my cart total going up significantly. I wonder how many orders they lose simply to their site being buggy as hell.

Funny that free shipping over $55 is working correctly now that the b2g1 is done. Would have probably done one more order if it was working right, but overall did pretty good. Got my last 3 in today 2/3 came complete. Overall 9/12 came complete. Went into store yesterday and they hooked me up with two game cases/covers for the 2 I had been missing. So all in all got 11/12 complete. Might go in and see if I can get that one too but not going to stress about, will probably wait until I go in and get DK Bananza

I can't speak for the new week, but I got 30% extra on Friday when putting $1 down on an existing preorder.

that is interesting, if you click on the banner on the trade in page is clearly says "up to" 20% extra trade credit. moreso because a few games got a 10% bump over the weekend.

In the end they canceled one of my B2G1 orders, and well, probably a blessing in disguise anyways, too many games to play.

But what I got what I really wanted: Mario Kart World, and the Switch 2 versions of BOTW and TOTK. All came with cases, and BOTW was even sealed lmao

Yaaaaay, Death Stranding 2 has a preowned listing and copies available now that the B2G1 ended. At least it'll be an option for next month's B2G1.

I can confirm today this promo is still good. It works towards ANY new game as well. Looks like Expedition 33 for PS5 had a small restock at some GameStops and my local store had one. Picked that up with store credit instead of paying inflated secondary market prices. Now to see experience all the hype this game got.

Ignore the disc promos on the receipt. Those are from using my $5 monthly coupon and GS certs.

From what I've seen, it will work with most/all? new condition amiibo. I've personally checked the 15.99 and 29.99 ones.

Just had an odd experience. Tried to preorder Mario party for S2 and the employee told me that aren’t taking preorders for it. And that the only one in their system is the stand alone expansion. I assume there’s no way that is accurate

nope, i preordered it during the 40% extra for switch 2 games. they thought the same thing but when they looked it up they found the full switch 2 game.
