Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

yep, even 6 games at around the $20 mark don't quite reach the threshold with the whopping 5% off for pros actually keeping you from getting to the total. might just find a cheap filler for around $5 or decide that i really don't need the games anyway.
The filler would become the free game, unfortunately.

Gotcha, my bad for misunderstanding.
On that note I wonder if a search engine specific to the amount like there is for Amazon cart filler exists for them?

Probably not given that their sites held together with paperclips chewing gum and ducttape . Games that you search for specific instock and shipping or such available that are one or all the above not.

Gamestop is useless for Nintendo games. Why the hell does everyone trade them back in without the original cases? Went to 2 stores and couldn't find 3 games worth getting that had the original cases. For PS4/5 almost all games had original cases though.

I think it's because GameStop gives you the exact same value whether you trade in the case or not. So I just assume a lot of people would rather keep their cases as a souvenir or whatever. Until GameStop changes that policy, it's going to keep happening.

Still... who the hell wants an empty case laying around? I can't imagine wanting to keep a case for a game I'm getting rid of.

Target also doing B2 G1 games although I can't get it to work

How did you find this? Must be an error or a placeholder for a Sunday sale. If it does happen I fully expect Nintendo games to be excluded and everything else to be full MSRP.

A lot of people resale game cases that’s why. There’s tons of people who sale cases on eBay and Mericari.

Can only speak for myself. But in the past I’ve traded switch games in when the values were high with plans to buy them back in a b2g1 later. And when I did that, I’d keep the cases so I don’t have to deal with getting no cases later

I thought this was a common practice.

1 of 3 MK:W came in already. It's complete! If anyone see/have a TOTK S2 copy they want to trade LMK.

It's probably not super wide spread but in my area the cases get stolen a lot, so they have to put out generic cover art for the game. Also sometimes if they have multiples of games and one of them doesn't have the case they will put the generic cover out on the shelf (probably to prevent theft), but if you ask they have one with cover art in the drawer. It can be a pain but always best to check before giving up completely.
