As the title suggests.

Now that the GC is $100 with a game and controller, and a whole bunch of $10 off $29.99 videogames and acessories coupons, I'm closer than ever to buying one. But, I'm gonna need a bigger push. There are very few exclusive games that really interest me on the GC, chances are the "huge" killer aps, Metroid, Eternal Darkness, etc. are not enough to make me buy one so don't suggest them. Multi-platform games also don't count, RE4, Viewtiful Joe, because I already have a Ps2. The only game I want the GC for is Smash Bros. Melee and maybe Paper Mario. Also because I often have people over all the time, I like the GC because of its wealth of party games.

I bought an Xbox just to play Halo 1 & 2 and don't regret my purchase at all thanks to Xbox Live and how many people I know play Halo. I'm wondering if I'm gonna suffer hardcore buyer's remorse if/when I get a GC. So let's hear the actual LEGIT reasons, not "Be caz Nintendo roxorz1!!3" garbage.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I'd love to play both Zelda games so don't think I'm a complete idiot.

I did the same thing when they dropped the Cube to 60 used. I wanted it for Eternal Darkness which was a bust for me , and some sega exclusives and revamped DC games, oh and Ikaruga. I ended up trading it in three months later. A waste of money IMO.

Gamecube is totally awesome for the price its at now. In addition to the ones you mentioned you got Mario Kart: DD even though its prolly the worst in the MK series its still hella fun. Theres Tales of Symphonia if you like RPG's as well as Baten Kaitos and Skies of Arcadia. Mario Tennis and Mario Golf are fun for the sports games. As you said Mario party. Though lots of people hate on them theres the Sonic Adventure games. I don't really recommend Metroid Prime (I found it too boring) but I know lots of people like it. Wind Waker, LoZ: 4 Swords. I say its certainly worth it. Plus theres the shiney new Zelda destined for the cube at some point.

sonic gems
rogue leader II & III
Soul Calibur 2 (Link is the Best Character)
Metal Gear: Twin Snakes
Mortal Kombat Deception (No Online :( but playing as goro gives me so much satisfaction:) )
F-Zero
Mario Sunshine (this is no kids game)
RE Remake & Zero
Gameboy Player (you like Mario 1, 2 & 3, Metriod, Castlevania or Sonic?)

Im sure im leaving some out...

I feel so sorry for people like you.

The only reason to get a GC would be... the games. The discounted price and solid build are good too.:)

My fave GC games:
Metroid Prime 1 & 2
Eternal Darkness (most overlooked game... ever!)
REmake, RE0, RE4
Zelda WW
Super Smash Bros
Soul Calibur II
Tales of Symphonia
Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2
Ikaruga
Zelda: Collectors Edition
Pikmin 1 & 2
Mario Kart DD
Paper Mario 2
Baten Kaitos
Beach Spikers (best vollyball game ever!)
Super Mario Sunshine
F-Zero GX

I picked up Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes for 10 bucks Canadian at TRU a few weeks ago, that's making me really consider getting a Gamecube. However, I don't want to buy one used (don't trust the whole concept of getting used hardware), so I think I'm just going to wait for a Revolution. It'll be more expensive, sure, but it will probably have a great number of unique and interesting games available quite soon after launch. That said, there does seem to be some interesting GC games, particularly Metroid (haven't heard of too many good sci-fi adventure games these days) and F-Zero, but other than that there's not too much to interest me. If there's no burning reason to get a Gamecube, I'd say just wait it out.
