I hate that Orton still looks like a bitch. Being a sneaky heel is great. Hell, Raven is one of my all time favorites and he did that shit all the time. But he didn't have the Flock come out to stop, I dunno, Todd Gordon from kicking his ass. He did it to stop Tommy Dreamer, another trained, big-name (for ECW) wrestler from doing it.
I would rather Orton beat up the McKids and hop on the mic to talk about how he defeated all the McMahons and now he's coming after their son in-law/husband.
Cena/Edge could wind up being good. They've done good work together in the past, no reason they can't do it again.
I hope Undertaker/HBK steals the show at Wrestlemania.
HBK/Taker would be good, Hardys would be of some interest, the rest...*yawn*.
WM is shaping up to be a big pile of same ol', same ol'. They should have a "former placeholder champ" match between Jeff and CM Punk. How many people have forgotten Punk was champ? He's been buried faster and deeper than when Benoit lost the title.
So I am going to the double taping of smackdown in Portland Oregon tomorrow..
Any suggestions on how to meet a wrestler? Any tips on signs etc? At first I didnt think I would get to go but I called safeway a few days ago and luckily they still had tickets... I got section 219 row B seats 1 and 2.... pretty good I guess for $30 each. Its in the mid level just one row up and aisle seats. I was just wondering if anyone has been to any shows lately and had any advice at all, also if anyone is going there, are you going at 5:45 or 7pm? I heard both time slots.. I will be there at 5:45 though would hate to miss any of either show!
Good end segment to RAW, I was afraid we were gonna end up with a tired McMahon swerve at first. I guess they're ready to finally go full-swing in acknowledging the HHH/Steph marriage? If so that freshens up HHH a bit. Plus it's been a while since he had a really good feud. It sure beats an angle with nude Vikie photos.
Yeah, I dont feel like he ever had a direction on Smackdown, he was there just to be the big name on the show. Hopefully moving Cena over there will be permanent.

take a shirt you think is awesome and hope a wrestler feels the same way
Not much in the way of good wrestling on this show, although Knox-Rey was a perfectly fine monster vs. underdog match, but there was a bunch of great non-wrestling stuff here. The Orton-Shane street fight had some decent intensity at times, and the ending with Shane taking an awesome punt leading to Steph taking an even better RKO almost made up for the weeks of shaky Orton booking.
HHH coming out was a nice surprise since it was one of the few times I can recall where a "surprise" guy came out without his music and titantron (or maybe I'm just too used to the months of Chris Abyss only saving people after doing his pyro taunt last year), and he showed a lot of intensity, which I liked because it led to some hilarious facial expressions and because it was a change from his usual happy-go-lucky character.
The Edge-Cena opening was fine - Cena was good, and Edge was funny, although a little more silly than I'd like for a guy who just won the World title the night before. The six-man tag wasn't anything special, but I liked DiBiase's new finisher - hopefully this gets over better than the million dollar legsweep, which like Cody's previous finisher (and this team as a whole), hasn't really gotten much of a reaction from the crowd.
The Piper-Jericho segment ruled. Each man looked good here, although Piper definitely came off better on the mic - no great surprise given how amazing his promo work was in his prime, but he's fallen a few steps since then, and this wound up being easily his best promo of the decade. Kane vs. Noble was fine - Noble's hilarious, and Kane destroying people is usually good times. The JBL-Shawn exchange set up...one thing I'd like to see at 'Mania - HBK vs. 'Taker. I didn't like JBL vs. 'Taker four years ago, and I can't fathom it getting much better now unless it's just 10 minutes of JBL and 'Taker stiffing the hell out of each other, and while I'd like to see that, such a match doesn't warrant 'Taker's streak being on the line.
Good show overall, although even by Raw's recent standards, there was way too little wrestling on this show. At least the non-wrestling stuff was really good, and the show itself sewed some interesting seeds for possible 'Mania matches.
Quotes -
Edge - I heard you all calling me a loser, but you’re WRONG! YOU’RE WRONG, YOU’RE WRONG. Hey kid? You know what little fella? When you grow up, you’re gonna be wrong! Jesus turned water into wine, and I turned the WWE Title into the World Heavyweight Championship!
(after cobra clutch slam)Cole - DiBiase hits WHAT HE CALLS DREAM STREET! THAT’S WHERE JTG IS!
(after Piper comes out)Lawler - I hope somewhere MICKEY ROURKE IS WATCHING THIS!
Piper - I’ve watched you your entire career, and I’ll tell ya why… You said what was on your mind. And you had the guts to come in the ring and back it up. I respected that. Reminded me of somebody I know… What happened? Now, you get on TV and you’re running your mouth. You’re calling me out. You’re calling Flair out. You’re calling the other legends out. You used to be entertaining! What happened! You’re judging us, you patronize us! You tell us what we should and should not be doing. Let me take one of your quotes… PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP!
Jericho - Sure Piper… DANCE LIKE A PUPPET ON A STRING. Let these people cheer for you…
Piper - I’M NOT FINISHED YET! Mickey Rourke is my friend and I watched his movie, and the movie is not about a bunch of old-timers that want another run. The movie is about the honor and respect we have for everyone! The movie is about the pain physically, emotionally, and most of all, most important, why we do what we do - for the thrill of performing! Ric Flair was right! We live for this! I have people say to me, we remember when you slapped Mr. T. And I have people come up to me and say when my grandad was alive, we watched you shave Adrian Adonis’s head. These moments are to be celebrated. These moments…last year, I was in the Royal Rumble, and when I came out in MSG, 24,000 people jumped to their feet and for just one second, I felt like I was back at the first WrestleMania. That was the thrill of a lifetime for me! I have one hip, and I hurt all the time. But, as long as these folks here say so, I will crawl down here on my hands and knees to give them one more memorable moment because OLD SCHOOL’S COOL! (Jericho slaps and kicks Piper)
The opening promo between Edge and Cena was good , and it was different in an odd sort of way to see edge being the goofy one and cena being the serious one.
I'm kinda torn on the whole Taker vs HBK or JBL thing. On one hand we already had Taker vs HBK , and while it was a great match does taker really NEED 2 mania wins over HBK? (since I'm assuming they still have no plans to end takers streak) On the other hand Taker vs JBL is a complete throwaway match on the level of Taker vs Henry. JBL must be channeling himself from 5 years ago if (his character) seriously believes that he can beat Taker at mania.
Seeing steph take the RKO was excellent , as was the crowd reaction from it. Although I found it kinda odd that the crowd also erupted when triple H came out. I guess the audience saw it like : HHH > Orton > Stephine
Also , does anyone here find it strange that this is the most interested in wrestling I've been in a while , which was all started because of seeing a feed from a sub-par PPV?

HBK/Undertaker have never had a Wrestlemania match.
ever since WWE went watered down to TVPG it's kind of been boring me. and to put Christian Cage on ECW really sucks. Luckily TNA is there to pick up the slack.
Am I crazy or are there more canned chants/responses being played during Raw?
I've been watching the crowd and they are barely moving when it sounds like the whole arena is losing their shit. Also with some chants, they change to a crowd shot and nobody is chanting.
Yep, just picture boogeyman, wrestle a nobody and at the end of his matches, stuff worms down somebody's mouth and that is what he does every single time.

They have done this numerous times on Smackdown.
I laugh at how Edge talked all that shit to Cena to tell him to meet me on Smackdown. Also, I have to remember to catch the parts of Raw that are interesting on youtube since I'm in bed for work while it is live.
w00t! First real lengthy gameplay footage of ProWrestlingX released today! So I doubt that most of you follow it, but its an awesome project that's been in development for a few years with an interesting history. Basically, it started as a pipe dream on some internet message boards and has evolved into an actual product. Dave, the head honcho there, puts out a newsletter every week that's always interesting and gives some insight to it all.
Well, can't say I didn't expect it to get panned on this site because it is a videogame site where most people are concerned with next-gen graphics and all that, oh yeah it's for PC too, not consoles. But, it's being developed by a handful of people compared to the dozens that THQ has in the factory pumping out Smackdown sequels. Which is another point I want to make. It was started as a response to the crappy quality of Smackdown games that THQ has been putting out - a group of wrestling game fans got together in order to make their own game. It's not a huge budget game with a mutimillion dollar publisher backing it. They're aiming for gameplay over graphics and using No Mercy as the template since that's the game that most everyone hails as the all-time champ of wrestling games.
So I might sound like some fanboy trying to defend it, but just wanted to get a little publicity out there for the game since there's some lengthy footage now.
It's not using No Mercy "as a template." It looks like it's full-on plagiarizing the AKI engine. Which would be okay, I suppose, but they've ignored some of the movement/animation changes that one would expect with games that are 13 years older than the early AKI games.

It has nothing to do with graphics. The animation is so stiff, it looks like it's WWF Warzone ripoff not No Mercy.
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- An actor who played a steroids dealer in the movie "The Wrestler" was arrested on drug charges after leading police on a high-speed chase in Eastchester on Thursday.
Scott Siegel was under surveillance by DEA agents who saw him picking up a package in New Rochelle on Wednesday before leading them on a car chase in his SUV, investigators said.
Agents rammed the New Rochelle actor's SUV several times in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent him from fleeing, according to investigators. Siegel eventually ditched the vehicle in Tuckahoe and led agents on a foot chase.
Siegel struggled with DEA agents before they were able to take him into custody at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Main Street, authorities said. Siegel is charged with attempting to distribute steroids and assaulting a federal agent.
Thursday's arrest was not Siegel's first brush with the law. He was arrested in 1999 for distributing steroids, ecstasy and an animal tranquilizer that can be used for hallucinations.
Siegel's character sells the main character Randy "The Ram", played by Mickey Rourke, steroids and painkillers in a locker room in "The Wrestler".
Some impact thoughts , the opening tag match was decent. Why do any tag teams bother with the one guy hold him while the other takes a belt shot , since its one of the most obvious misfire moves. Jay Lethal taking that flip onto the ladder looked painful. How long has hernandez had that awful looking mustache?
Why did Petey and Eric call themselves the maple leaf muscle instead of just calling themselves Team Canada? I guess it was because of the stip from years ago about Team Canada never teaming up again. Consistency is nice but considering that it was still technically Team Canada anyway it seemed kinda redundant. Also , the "Off the wagon" stip brings back bad memories of the 24/7 hardcore title.
As for the main event , whenever someone talks about wrestling being a soap opera for men , that had to be the greatest (worst?) example of that. It was just so bizarre and pointless and overdramatic.
