I noticed that this thread has been dead for a while so I contacted the author and she agreed to let me take over...so we are starting a minty fresh, brand-spanking-new Toys R Us clearance game thread....

I have put the last 2 entries under spoilers so we wouldn't lose that data but most of it is pretty old...I will probably delete the stuff that goes back to early 2010 as it is really irrelevant....so we are gonna start small here....I have a few updates to post from my ventures out today..

I would like to keep this thread in the spirit of the Target Clearance Game thread so I will be setting it up like that...

Any questions, comments, suggestions just drop me a PM...

Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numerous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

For the most part, prices are universal! Though there will always be exceptions...

Found Modnation Racers for PS3, Legend of the Guardians PS3, Armored Core 4 xbox 360, and Dreamcast Collection xbox 360 all at 9.98 and all qualified for the BOGO 40% off sale.
 
Picked up Heavy Rain and Splatterhouse for the PS3. Total camp to just under $17. Was happy to finally get Heavy Rain again for a good price.

Forgive me for asking it, but where do you usually find this clearance stuff in the store? Last time I went to my local TRU, the only thing I could find was a metal basket crammed with a few not-so-cheap games marked as clearance. Seeing everyone in here talking about these amazing deals has me jealous.

The two stores I freqent have them on display either amidst the other accessories or on a separate gondola. Usually the display hooks have a red clearance sticker stuck on the end of the price display.
 
My local store has a bazillion things on clearance but nothing good. They have a huge bin full of games, a huge wall of just DS/PSP/Wii clearance junk peripherals, and a bunch of PS2 DDR/Guitar Hero bundles.

That's the only thing I saw as well. Dj Hero 2 for $1.50...
 
I went into one of the further out stores hoping to be lucky and find at least one copy of the Gears of War 3 Limited Edition, Saints Row the Third Platinum Pack, or Assassins Creed Brotherhood (PS3) Collectors Edition with no such luck but instead I found a Halo Reach Legendary Edition just sitting on the bottom in the glass case. I asked one of the clerks to give me a price check on it to and sure enough the guy laughed as he was shocked when he saw that it was $79.98 and told me it was a good deal. I bought it and counted that as a Victory!!

Sorry to bust your bubble but Halo legendary at $80 is way too much. its been $40 multiple times at lots of retailers and walmart had it listed for $50 for the longest on their website; though now it is showing OOS maybe one of the stores would PM it for you if you wanted.
 
I went in looking for games today but found nothing, guess someone cleaned it out already.

However I did find some biggest loser ankle weights for $1.50 and white m&m ear buds for I think $2.99 (might be 3.99).
 
If this was posted already sorry in advance. I saw this in TRU in Times Square an hour ago, $50 off is not bad. Kinect sensor and 3 games.

Thanks. I was able to find a copy buried in the clearance wire bin. Also, was able to pick up a Medal of Honor tagged for a penny. Not the greatest find but thought it was odd that it was priced and not just tossed LOL.
 
Went to an out of the way ToysRUs. Seeing as how I'd been to a number of other ones, I figured I'd go to another further 1(maaaaybe 2).

First TrU:Nothing.

Saw some Kung Zhu Dojo Base and Other playsets for Kung Zhu @ $1.98(was $14.98) and $2.98(was $19.98).

Gaming area...$269.99 320 PS3 Core(? will look that up) on clearance OOS. PSPgo silver $169.99. Yes. That's the price of it. LMFAO!!!!

So I've seen a few posters say that they grabbed up Megaman Zero Collection for under $10, but is this a semi-common occurrence? I mean, does it seem to be a wide drop or only YMMV?

I only ask because the last time I went to a TRU, they had it behind the glass display for (I think) regular price. This store's sort of out of the way unless I'm in the neighborhood on other errands, so I was hoping to find out if I should hop over there and look for it. If anyone else has had sightings on the positive, then I guess I had better quick...

If people have been saying it's $10, it should be $10 when they scan it.
 
Yeah, you can't really go by the sticker prices most of the time. Although my copy of Trauma Team rang up as $9.98, the sticker said $34.98. And the gal working there even said she had just put the sticker on that day.

The B1G40% off is over right? I'm sorry if it has been asked before but can returns/exchanges be done even after this sale is over. For eg. I purchased 2 blu-rays today which were $9.98 each with the B1G1 40% off. Can i go tomorrow and exchange one of the blu-rays for a game priced $9.98?
 
Found a copy of Trauma Team (Wii) for $9.98 at the TRU in Glen Burnie, MD.

No idea if its new or not but I don't see it in the first post.

Any update on this? I remembered this post you made from awhile back, and just managed to dig it up! :lol:

I was way out of town at a new TRU, and found a few of these titles from the last clearance round. If there are some new drops, I'd like to hear if anything else is included. This is one of those stores that seems to be horrible about updating their price tags, and has the old tag system, where they don't have all of the games on display in a case to browse. :(

He is talking about return/rebuy or Pm at YMMV. I saw 20% off wii clearance games advertised at one of the stores by me. It wasn't ringing up at the register though.

Occasionally In the past, they have increased it almost each week until it gets to ~40-50% I think. Have no idea if that will happen this time though.

^I've wondered this also. I bought it at launch and i nearly snapped the disc in half. I heard later that a patch fixed all the rubberbanding and stuff that ruined the games.

(unrelated musing - patches are nice, but i wonder how many games will go down in history as being bad or buggy even though they were fixed - Bayonetta(ps3) and Dead Island come to mind)
 
Havent bought a clearance game for a while,so i picked up PS3 Vanquish for $9.98.Read mostly positive reviews,so thought it'd be fun.
