the best halo 2 gift...

Vin

It seems like I've got three choices:

Get halo 2 at Circuit city and get a halo 2 watch
Get it at Compusa and get a $10 gift card
Or get it at Target and get the strategy guide

Which one would u choose?

Guide. It's nice looking, and pretty thick. Plus, its priced around 15 dollars. So the gift card wouldn't even cover it.

Compliments of Trakan.

EDIT: And it's in the wrong board!

Well, I haven't actually seen the watch, but it sounds most appealing, if there are limited quantities (i.e. if the only way to get the watch is to buy Halo 2 at Circuit City). If it is a mass-produced watch that can be bought separately, eh, I'd still pick the watch.

Yeah, I'm wondering if you need to cut out the UPC of the game to get the gift card at CompUSA since you have to mail it in.

target because when you preordered at Target, you recieved a 10 dollar gift card, and now you also get a strategy guide.

Like the watch is even worth the trouble.

I want the watch and the strategy guide...Anything related to Halo 2 I want...I am addicted to Halo 2 I must have it all. More Halo 2 more more more

I would go with the gift card. Any strategy guide type info you would need can be found online for free

If the watch was more... how you say... attractive, then I'd go for the watch... but it looks like one of those toy watches you get from the 50-cent vending machine....

You have to take into account that some people are actually stupid enough to try this and then some... in the instance of say, BOGO deals... as if any store is going to let you buy two, get one free, you return the two you bought an d get away scott free... trust me, if I could pull this off with the gift card, believe I'd do it enough times for a plasma screen tv... then again, it's look a little 'suspicious' coming into any store armed with 200 $10 gift cards... ^_^

When Target did their gift card with the purchase of THUG 2, they discounted the price of THUG 2 by $10 and you paid for the gift card. Which was pretty smart on their part, so if you bring back the game, you get back $10 less from what the purchase price should be. I'm sure this wouldn't be any different.

I'm gonna buy it at Best Buy tomm w/ Paper Mario. You then get a $20 Gift card. (Spend $100, get a $20 Gift Card.) Might as well, b/c then Paper Mario is $30. Much better than a Mail in GC at CompUsa, a Strategy Guide (gamefaqs anyone? Plus, who really needs a HALO strategy guide???) or a watch that I wouldn't wear. Tommorow will be a sweet, sweet day.

Yup same go with CC. Bought Madden with the 10 dollars GC but found out that EB has a trading deal so I returned Madden back to CC and got only 40 back. Get the watch just so that people know you have Halo 2 lol.
The watch doesn't even tell time. When you look at it, it says : "Time to play Halo 2".
I'm going to hell for laughing at this way more than I needed to or should have...

You can't be serious. And that thing is valued $19.99?

You can't use a Raincheck on Halo 2 at Target. The Ad from Sunday has "No Rainchecks" in small letters. It didnt stop me from trying, but the employee knew about it. Oh well...

The Strategy guide is pretty hefty, but I havent looked inside. I will probably wait until I have completed single player to do so.

 "No rainchecks" means they won't give rainchecks, not that they don't allow the substitution policy if you have a raincheck for something else.

im just gonna go for the gift card, there probalby isnt much in the guide that wont be readily available in the internet in a few days, and besides its a fairly linear (as the reviews say) FPS, its not like its an RPG where maps, beastiaries or charts would come in handy.

as for the watch...well...you know.

"No Rainchecks" means that if they ran out, they will not be issuing rainchecks for Halo 2. This doesnt mean that you cant use one to get a discount on it. I used to work for Target...I know.
