That's a tad different than the issue with GTA: SA. This is modding the game, from what I'm reading, instead of hacking the game to find hidden code.

Not too different (if that lawyer guy Jack Thompson-something or other has his way) from the Sims shitstorm that resulted from Hot Coffee... so I guess this would actually be Hot Coffee part III.

The code in GTA: SA would've rated the game AO, since it was in there to begin with.

This is user-made mods, and wasn't in the game to begin with. They're modifying the game to allow their stuff to go, so it wouldn't affect the ESRB rating on the game, which is the huge to-do with GTA: SA.

It's in the same league as the Sims nude mods, yes, though not in the same league as the Hot Coffee situation.

I see what you mean but if that lawyer guy has anything to say about it, he's going to make sure that the Sims and whatever else develops a nude patch or sex mod is going to generate enough buzz that the media *snort* will blow it out of proportion just like Hot Coffee. The thing that bugs me about the ESRB rating is that it's hardly a huge difference between M and AO. In M you have the age limit of 17 and brief violence/nudity/etc. while in AO the age limit is 18 and prolonged violence/nudity/etc. To me, that's splitting hairs. Honestly, the AO rating loses its efficacy by being only marginally different. I think they need to either abolish the AO rating and change M to cover both the current M and AO rating and make a new +Teens 15 and up or keep the M and make AO anything that has explicit (as opposed to implied or censored like the Sims) sex/violence. Truly though, if I had to pick, I'd rather the first option than the 2nd since the 2nd is pretty close to the current rating system.

However, I think it's all rather shitty what people have been doing to Megashock5's topic.
Megashock5 is happy about his soon to be adopted daughter, and people just can't seem to resist the chance to take shots and kittie and basically shit all over the thread.

There is a time and a place for things... if it were in an OTT, or in any of a myriad of other topics (which it has been), that's one thing. It may be rude, and some may disagree with individual comments, but it's far better than the alternative.

Megashock5 stepped outside of himself, and opened himself up to the board to tell everyone about a very important life event. But rather than giving that the respect and concern it deserves, people are far to busy circling around and shitting all over kittie.

What did Megashock5 do to deserve to have that happen in his topic.
It's utter bullshit, really.
 
Finally back from class, one of the more eventful days we've had. WeE demoed our NWN mod to our teacher, and he loved it. One hilarious thing that happened was just so random that it was hilarious. We have a Kobold as the hero's henchman, and he's basically scripted to run from fights and be overall annoying. The hero was going through a dungeon and a bunch of pixies spawned from an encounter. The hero fought them off and made his way to the bossand while chatting with him, the kobold comes running by with a pixie chasing him. It was so unexpected and hilarious. We hope to try to get that to happen again and tape it to use for a credits movie at the end. It was just too random for us to script it. Now to get all of this work done this weekend.

Nothing. The users are just acting like asses, which seems to be the norm online.

Although, to be fair, the only user I see in the topic that's causing problems is Mookyjooky, and this isn't the first issue he's caused on the site.

As far as I'm concerned, kittie has been a model poster since her return. She hasn't done anything more than what the rest of us do, so I don't see it as understandable that people have axes to grind with her. I wish the people giving her crap would just get over themselves and move on with their lives. Cause it's really getting old, and just plain stupid.

People end up having axes to grind even if people stay within the allowable boundaries of the site. Even general disagreements lead to that.
